No.
You need to exit Thailand and reenter Thailand.
Obviously exit without reentry permit thereby killing off the non O-A.
You can then reenter visa exempt and obtain a non O based on retirement and subsequent extension.
Thank you.

Is it possible to change from OA to Non O in Thailand?

BTW - warning about the standard of care.
Would you accept that kind of stitching/sutra a in a "Western" hospital?
facial injuries are cosmetically very sensitive - will she be "scarred for life?"
Do you mean she had a choice of a Western Hospital or a Thai hospital.

The Southern islands tend to attract alot of tourists and some expats who have little to no experience riding a bike, and figure "what could possibly go wrong in a relaxed island environment"?
In reality these islands are some of the most dangerous places in the world to ride a bike, and the number of injuries and deaths that happen are staggering. I used to live down there and personally witnessed many bike accidents. Also have a friend who worked for Samui Rescue for many years, and he told me the authorities do everything in their power to cover up the fatality totals.
Her facial scars will be permanent. It would require quite a reconstructive plastic surgeon, doing micro stitches for her to have any chances of avoiding substantial scarring, due to the scars being primarily horizontal. It will be a daily reminded for her, of a rather cavalier decision, and perhaps not exercising greater care driving. She may have encountered a patch of gravel, sand, rocks or oil and lost total control of her bike. Maybe.
You are a expert on these things?

Why do we always have these experts who somehow think they know it all?
Did she have a motorcycle license? It was not mentioned.
Did she wear any helmet? It was not mentioned.
Did she drive like an idiot or was there maybe a reason that she got off the street? It was not mentioned.
Why don't we stick to the facts and don't speculate about what we don't know?
I agree with you 100 hundred percent.

There are some really nice expats in Thailand.
And there are some expats in Thailand in who cannot think, have knowledge.
But think they know everything and are down right insulting.
Makes me wonder what Thai people think when they read some of these posts.

So, basically Thai insurance is worthless. There we go. It's funny, the legions of insurance addicts that will pontificate mercilessly about holding policy. Thai insurance is worthless save for SSO.
How do you know it was Tha Insurance?

Never ceases to amaze me the number of Sherlock Holmes who appear and solve the crime.
Regardless of what you think of the police.
Leave it to the police and wait and see what they come up with.
A very sad situation.

The letter from his Embassy is okay as long the money from his bank meets the 400,000 requirement.
He will also need a letter from his bank in Thailand showing he has a bank account.
The amount of money in the account is not important.
As long as he has a bank account.

An Insurance Company can take into account pre-existing conditions or it may be that the insured has received a large payout under his/her current policy and the Insurance Company no longer wish to insure the ember so they Wack up the premium due to an exorbitant level . The insurance company then don't have to say they refused insurance as it then puts the burden on the applicant to accept or reject an exorbitant premium and in most cases such premium cannot be afforded by the applicant/member.
Premiums paid whether reasonable or exhorbitant go in the Insurers pocket and are non refundable / lost capital if unused .
Why can the authorities / Immigration not just accept the permanent deposit in a Thai Bank of say 2 or 3M baht for medical insurance purposes ?? They can set a minimum !! At least the money remains yours to be kept, moved on or left to heirs if unused .
This issue seems like a bit of a rip-off for O-A visa holders who , in all due respect , are trying to help the Thai social security / hospitals/ medical system by HAVING adequate due medical care funds to pay Hospital bills unlike those on "O" visas .
If I get to the situation of refusal of continued medical insurance OR unreasonable /exhorbitant premiums , it will force me down the route of exiting the country and returning to obtain an "O" visa , which realistically is not in the governments/immigration/Thailands interest .
Next year I am seriously thinking of leaving the country and return on a O Visa.
That way I can have my own insurance.

Required strength CBD oil for a good night sleep
in Thailand Cannabis Forum

I have bought CBD on the internet.
I have bought CBD from the Cannabis Clinic.
It doesn't seem to do anything for sleep or pain.
There dozens of experts on the internet and YouTube.
Are all the things I hear and read about CBD only a myth?
I would appreciate it if someone can show some proof.
My main problem is chronic pain.
