They can confirm the actual owner, and the NACC can then compare the actual owners names against the names of all the dead people the DPM was friendly with.

That's it.....
Blame the foreigners ?
This has become so predictable that you actually could make it up.

A good point.
Farmers have also been getting debt forgiveness, new loans and subsidies to help meet their debt burden. Why would teachers be any less important?
That is their argument and it makes perfect sense.
The problem being the farmers make up a massive voter base who are used to handouts, and are respected for providing sustenance to the Nation with hard work. You could forgive them at grass roots level for not being able to crunch numbers and need a helping hand. Maybe they weren't educated properly in their youth.
The educators cannot hold up the same argument, and expect to get as much sympathy.
If it was a pay hike that would be another story, but they really chose the wrong comparison. Shows them up to be what they are, dumb as a bag of hammers.

Good.
If they couldn't be bothered to understand what they signed up for then they shouldn't be educating others.

Magicians, Jesus only parted the Red Sea, this lot could make it vanish.
Yeah, even Moses could only walk on water......fat lot of good that would have done in a cave ?
But still, have to give due credit here.

He said a 4 million baht house would set buyers back 7.3 million on a 30 year mortgage
Lacking a few minor details here as usual. As much as I like this guys intentions and raising awareness on this broad issue, it just highlights the complete lack of understanding of borrowing money.
They have no clue here about interest or term, or how they both accrue to an actual repayment cost. None at all.
It's tragic.

Counter apology and a hush settlement is the most efficient way forward.
The terminology identified in the apology shows how complicated this could be to fight.

I thought Somkid just said the other day that they have eradicated debt?

Well teacher Auychai, it was likely in the small print, a pesky little number called interest and you've just managed to just cover it plus chip away a little bit of the principal. I hope you're not a math teacher.
This sob story is a classic example of the hopeless situation wrt household debt across the country. Almost nobody understands what they are getting themselves into with loans of any description.

The canal dredging around where I live was very swift and effective.
I have plenty to say, but no further comment.

Right! I think that Musk - world famous and very rich - should be man enough to apologise publicly and unreservedly and admit that he was completely out of order to say what he said.
There the matter should rest - in my view.
With no settlement? That wouldn't be a happy ending.?
Here you have a wide collection of heroes engaged in a worldwide effort to save the kids. Everybody wanted in, for various reasons. The fact that Musk showed up or had an offering on the factory line only added to the publicity and focused the effort on ensuring it was a success.
There were many people with ideas, one of which was Verns suggestion to make a call to the UK.
If someone in the Thai Authorities had turned around and told him to shove his suggestion where it hurts, they may not have been rescued.
It was an effort that required being open to ideas and working together.
All this sh1tslinging to get attention is irrelavant.

In a national televised broadcast, he said that the government is currently on track to solve poverty, reduce inequalities, reform governing bodies, and promote public participation in politics in order to pave way for Thailand with a better future
If these clowns could achieve anywhere near what they are promising, the would deserve to run the whole world.
By the way, I like the stealth caveat - 8 months from now is mid March.

Another Bt2.7 billion would go to a Pracharat fund to give to low-income earners who make less than Bt100,000 a year.
6 days a week on minimum wage is 98k baht.
There's not enough in that fund to go around.
They'll need to spend a lot more of the taxpayers money to be accepted.
