I am planning to drive from chiangmai to nong khai and latter get other transport across the border to laos I have a garmin gps with map of thailand on it, I not sure how far it is to drive from chiangmai to nong khai or driving time I would estimate between 400 to 700 km would like to know if anyone has driven that route and are their good highways or roads to toward nong khai

  2. Different areas have different days. For example in Rawai are 3 market places, offering (nearly) every day an outdoor market.

    It would be helpful if you would mention where on Phuket.

    We plan to stay around the karen beach area would like to know were are the big markets in phuket and what days are they open

  3. As I am coming from chiangmai and know here there are some outdoor markets would like to know if in phuket if they have any days were they might have outdoor market days either day or night

  4. apart from the banks or atms are there any currency exchange places that can give you the best rate for your dollar i know in bangkok there is a company called super rich not sure if they run a service in phuket

  5. As I like photography which are the most scenic places to take photos in phuket also were is the best place to take photos of nice sunsets in phuket are there any higher vantage places which of course are safe to take in a good view and photos of surrouding phuket

I am taking my thai wife and baby for a weeks holiday to phuket would like some recommendations for good hotel deals now being low season I am looking for something mid range maybe up to 700 baht a nite also like to know about the transport from phuket airport as our flight gets in just after midnite are their taxis or tuk tuks to hotel and what to expect to pay and also apart from the nice beaches in phuket what is a must or recommendation to see on phuket island

  7. ok one more thing I will be getting an australian passport when she comes to australia she has unlimited time to stay in australia on an australian passport and if she has a thai passport she can also stay in thailand providing she her thai passport on entry to thailand if that is all correct then a rest my case

I have my daugher who got her australian citizenship the other day as well as retaining her thai nationality she currently holds only a thai passport if she was to accompany me back to australia would she still be able to travel with me on her current thai passport or would she need any travel document apart from her airline ticket

  9. my partner is looking for a good nursery to take care of our baby on the weekend next month anyone know of any good nursery during daytime hours she is only three months old and needs some nursery that offers good care for about 8 to 9 hours

  11. The biggest market is a block north of the clocktower.

    The night market near the old bus station is more tourist orientated.

  12. I want to stay in Nakhon Sawan for about two nites are there any comfortable hotels up to 600 baht per nite with good bed air conditioning and if lucky to watch the world cup soccer with good cable tv any address or weblinks would be appreciated

  13. during this curfew crisis it is harder to exchange money at normal banks unless you use atm machines would just like to know if banks are closed and considering the world crisis in europe and the forever changing exchange rate are the rates frozen in thailand or adjusted accordingly the next day

  14. do not forget that if you are thai on some of these golf clubs they offer 500 baht and foreigners pay 800 baht for the golf promotions package i think i will stll stick to my regular golf club were i get 9 holes for 150 baht and 18 holes at 300 baht still a bargain compared to some of the others

I would like to know where in chiangmai is there a service or place that can translate a birth certificate from thai to english my child was born six weeks ago and want to legally get it recognized under my nationality that being australian, our child was born here in chiangmai and I am an australian born would be great if my child can get dual nationality

  16. my travel plans are to stay a nite and half a day in bangkok on the weekend want to know what places to avoid i like to stay in hotel along suhkovmit road I have heard koasan rd has some problems is there any updates or websites to keep tourists informed were in bangkok it is more safer to stay even if it is for me a nite and a day
