You will be very welcome Donny.
We had our first run out yesterday and it went very well. There was a big range in standards of knowledge and fitness but that didn't matter as everyone had a lot of fun. We will be meeting at 4pm next Sunday on the rugby pitches at CMU (that's by the Huay Kaew entrance).
Anyone wishing to participate is very welcome.
I am interested i stay for another month or so would like to know details I use to be good in touch maybe getting on but sure can do with a run would like to know were you play and at what time

will be going up to mai sai close and planning to stay overnight with my girlfriend would like to know if anyone knows of any good hotel in chiangrai to stay overnight also want to do some shopping and sight seeing in burma for a day on my tourist visa from what i remember i need a copy of my passport and either 10 us dollars or 500 baht to get me into burma for a day without forfeiting my visa
Just remember when you go over the border you will only get a 15 days permit to stay when you cross back over unless you have a re entry visa or multi entry on your tourist visa.. Check at the border before you go..Lots of good places to stay in Chiang rai and I would say the Nim see sing is great value at 399 baht a night. its better than the wang come at 1200 baht a night. has air, cable tv and some breakfast.. breakfast is coffee and toast. Check out Rico's bar while you are in Chiang rai it is by the condo Hotel . Everyone should know where it is. Rico's beach bar(in town) has good food farang and Thai and cheap drinks. Good expat bar...Anything else you need to know them message me..have a good trip Dave

I think most people would use a airgun I bought one in chiangmai it is a ZTE model can also use 3g my question is if you brought your sim card from your own country ie like vodaphone and used it here would the speed be faster as satelites are what revolve around the earth and some telephone companies use better 3g capibilities than here in thailand
http://www.ais.co.th/3g/EN/ Ais Super 3G - This is being advertised a lot at the moment. They recently increased the service coverage and now it reaches most of the population in and around Chiang Mai city, up to Doi saket, Hang dong etc etc. Sadly it doesn't reach me. I'd be quite interested to hear if anyone is already using it and what its like. Supposedly the fastest thing going at present. If you are out of coverage then it switches to edge. Could be worth considering?I have it as a back-up to ADSL. I have only had to use it once (thankfully) out in Hang Dong. It worked fine for email and general browsing. Not sure whether I got 3G or Edge... Under 4k to buy and then from as little as 100 Bht per month (first six months on 100 Baht package included.
