  1. Order, counter order - dis-order. Well done Thai Politicians.
  2. There are clearly couple of people on this website who both are anti-Thai and do not read the sensible and knowlegable posts wirtten by others regarding Retirement Homes. Would strongly recommend you ignore these uninformed zenophobes.
  3. There are more than one retirement home in Thailand. Chiang Mai, Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui just to name a few and no doubt for those who can be bothered, there are more on the internet.
  4. The same as their Aircraft Carrier which is rotting away at some pier in Thailand. What a waste and the Thai Government knows it but has sucummed to arm twisting from the Chinese.
  5. The article tells you that her Insurance has recently expired. Very unfortunate, but also very negilent considering the accident rate in Thailand, which she may well have been aware of.
  6. Wrong! It was Embassies were not in compliance with checking that the data they provided was correct! Suggest you check your facts first before becoming a keyboard warrior.
  7. I disagree! What we all need to do is to get our individual Consulates to clarify Thailand's intent on taxing overseas income for Foreignors. Sadly, this announcement is typical of the way Thailand operates. Make the announcement without any details having been worked out and any detailed clarification so that people who are affected can both study the change and take any action they consider is appropriate. It would appear that some are considering leaving if this becomes law, which is understandable.
  8. Try HSBC. I bank with them and find them very good - up to now!
  9. My best advice to the Thasksin Clan is - shut up! The more you say, the less the public believes you and the more rediculous you look!
  10. I am sorry to say that I am totally disgusted (as are many Thais) at Thai Politics, which is not a beaurocracy, but an autocracy. Thailand needs to look at what has happened in Niger, where because of the coupe, USA, EU and UK have withdrawn their funding and I feel that exactly the same should happen in Thailand - but of coourse it won't. Why - because the powers that be are worried that Thailand will lean even more to China for support. The only hope is that when the Senator's tenor is over, that the Government revises their right to vote for the PM.
  11. I am currently reading the History of China. There are so many parallels between China and Thailand just before China became Communist. Thailand needs to be very, very careful because the Thai people, like the Chinese became so frustrated at the Governance of the Country, there was revolt after revolt until the Communist took advantage of the constant and ongoing turmoil of the people in Government, the people then decided to take the situation into their own hands. This was from in parts, from a highly edicated and developed Country, which was way ahead of UK and Europe at the time.
  12. The title reads, "Thai Politics strays from democratic principles". Sorry, to stray is to imply that Thai politics was demoncratic - so, so wrong. It has never been demoncratic and as soon as it gets close to it the powers tha be organise a coupe. Thailand politics is an autocracy and an utter disgrace in this modern world.
