It couldnt look any worse if one spent 50 baht. I had a drive to Jomtien a few days ago, it looks like a wasteland, neglegted and dirty.

They seemed to have failed miserably around the Udon Thani area

Why are they using that silly little toy track again - for a similar price they could lay the real Standard Gauge

Don't worry, the next administration will blame you for the economic problems when they come to power

I have seen beds in the corridors, even been in one for a short time. No one sleeping under them though.
Hmmmmmm. Do Canadian hospitals have beds lined up in the corridors and families sleeping under the bed, like Thai public hospitals? Since my Thai MIL got admitted to a public hospital I have been shocked at the crowding- more like a madhouse than a hospital IMO.I find the public hospitals fine. They are crowded, but then my home country is Canada where all we have are public hospitals and they are crowded also.
Whole families camped outside the wards.
even been in one for a short time
Hmmm they do not offer that in our local hospital

^Nice info, Oorinara - could be a future investment area for some.
A couple of things I'd like to know before being interested in any way.
Does opening a Lao account require one (or more) physical appearances at a chosen bank? In other words - is it possible to open an account from another country, say from Thailand?
What lower and upper deposit limits in USD/THB are there (if any)?
Interest is paid - yearly, or on maturity? And can this interest automatically be returned to an account in the orginal sending country (i.e, Thailand)?
Lastly, oughtn't this particular topic be put in a new thread or pinned topic - so as not to clog up the Thai banking interest rate thread?
Cheers

Best PA I found was from AA Insurance Brokers - had medical expenses of 600,000 Baht (which is the most important benefit in any PA)

Don't see Aussie on the list
Australians, the third-largest group of foreign visitors after Singaporeans and Malaysians, will still need a visa to enter the country, although tourists can buy one on arrival.
-
A shame if they do stop but simply not enough customers to warrant them to continue - my last flight had 12 passengers...

This is a good company with sensible coverage - believe AA insurance brokers can offer this

....to demand actions against liquor selling near campuses.
I agree, they should sell liquor on the campus to save the walk to the shops.

Stayed at the Best Western a couple of months ago - close to river and clean. Just round the corner found an excellent Indian restaurant - Nazim's or something similar - better than any Indian I have had in Thailand !
