...I will not pay the last 2 months rent as I paid 2 months in advance for a deposit.
Am I within my rights to do this, he is known for not returning renters deposits ?
It depends on what the rental contract says.
Generally, the deposit is not intended as advance payment for the last months of the rental period, but to be refunded after the end of the rental period, minus the cost covering loss or damage, if any, for which the tenant is liable.

Only has himself to blame. Why fly Thai Airways when there's many better airlines to use, EVA for example.
On what days of the week does EVA fly from Bangkok to Shsanghai?

What Trump’s war on the ‘Deep State’ could mean: ‘An army of suck-ups'
By Bob Ortega, Kyung Lah, Allison Gordon and Nelli Black, CNN
Updated 4:41 PM EDT, Sat April 27, 2024
CNN —At one campaign rally after another, former President Donald Trump whips his supporters into raucous cheers with a promise of what’s to come if he’s given another term in office: “We will demolish the deep state.”
In essence, it’s a declaration of war on the federal government—a vow to transform its size and scope and make it more beholden to Trump’s whims and worldview.
The former president’s statements, policy blueprints laid out by top officials in his first administration and interviews with allies show that Trump is poised to double down in a second term on executive orders that faltered, or those he was blocked from carrying out the first time around.

USA is too forgiving to illegal workers around the world. But if Americans try to work illegally in S .Korea, Thailand, Cambodia, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, PI, SEA, etc. and see what happens. Same for immigration.
Why do you post about the USA? This topic is about Thai nationals working illegally in South Korea.
Do you honestly believe that the readers of this topic want to hear about the situation in the USA, Greece, Uruguay and the other 200+ countries on the planet earth?

...My question: is a Driving License required for these vehicles and why/why not?
Why is a driving license required for vehicle "A" and not for vehicle "B"?You posted images of three different vehicles but didn't label any of them with "A" or "B"
Therefore my question is: which of the three vehicles is "A" and which one is "B"?

Isolate China, that's the way to go. That will teach them.
Buy nothing that has any part made in China. You lead the way: throw out everything you own that fits that description, starting with the device you used to make your post.

I haven't followed this case closely but I remember that some police officials were quoted in the news saying that Big Joke was involved in an illegal gambling racket. Has evidence of that been submitted to a public procecutor and has a court of law found him guilty?

do you seriously see the symbolism of their standing up for their rights being simply limited to being illegal workers?...
This topic is about Thai nationals working illegally in South Korea who staged "a protest against their arrests. The protestors gathered in front of an immigration office in Gyeonggi Province, asking for the local authorities to halt the crackdown on illegal workers in the country", according to the opening post of the topic.
Clearly, they have no right to work illegally in that country and I honestly fail to "see the symbolism of their standing up for their rights"
I also fail to see any connection with the question about "how many foreigners do i see protesting the unfair going ons against us here", where with "here" you presumably mean Thailand. Surely, you are not suggesting that foreigners working illegally in Thailand, if any there be, should organise a similar protest in Thailand. Anyway, this topic would hardly be the right place for such a suggestion.

Well done girls. The Burmese, Lao and Cambodians should do the same here.
Are "the Burmese, Lao and Cambodians" to whom you are referring working illegally in Thailand?

To what unfair "going ons" are you being subjected as an illegal foreign worker in Thailand?

I am from a country with such law, we introduced it forty years ago or so, after the introduction of the first payment card which made some people worry they would soon be unable to pay with their cash.
But today we have amended the law, because cash can be a problem in many situations, for example self-service kiosks etc. do not need to accept cash, nor do businesses after (I think) around 22:00, and businesses in “remote areas” (for example a gas station) can apply for an exemption.
Furthermore, today it is actually illegal for a business to accept payment in cash if it is above a certain threshold (about 100,000 baht), though this has to do with AML and therefore not really comparable to the other amendments (which is more about security or practicality).
Though my point simply is, some countries do have these laws, but they are from another time, and are likely to change, so I don’t see such law being introduced today (in Thailand, or anywhere else).
That's very interesting. Thank you for having posted it.

Google search. See if this helps, otherwise narrow the search down to the part of Thailand where you live.
Happy wife, happy life.

Some countries have laws that make it illegal to refuse to accept payment with banknotes and coins that are legal tender in the respective countries. Has Thailand no such law?

Darren Lyons says AN syndicate content from Bangkok Post. This is not the case, but I wonder if Thaiger Talk syndicate BP content. Does anyone know?
My impression is that Thaiger, and by extension AseanNow, do not syndicate other English-language news publications in Thailand. Very rarely, I see a link to an article in The Nation on AseanNow.

"Unique content"? That made me chuckle. Thaiger just churns out re-spun ChatGTP (AI) dribble. It's awful. I'm surprised a younger, more innovative company hasn't moved into this space to dominate; it's ripe for the picking.
As I cannot read Thai, thanks to AseanNow's Thailand News section I get to read a lot of news about Thailand which otherwise I would not see. Yes, it is mostly AI-generated adaptations from Thai language sources and and other English language publications may have most of it too, but here I have it all in one place without having to load other news websites.
No complaints from me.
