Yes, the Rajaprabah resevoir in Surat. I believe we were referring to the local resevoirs.
Meanwhile, on Samui Island, three main water sources, the wetlands of Phru Krajood, Phru Na Muang, and Phru Chaweng, store a modest total of 3,200,000m3, barely sufficient to quench the island’s growing thirst.
A lifeline emerges from the mainland, as a modest flow of 22,000m3 per day trickles through an undersea pipeline from Surat Thani, swelling by an additional 5,000m3 during the parched embrace of the dry season.

My question is have anyone got any
knowledge or feedback on royal Enfield brand, pros and cons etc...
I have the Classic 350 (same engine)...great bike for the back roads with a very relaxed ride, spares and accessories are cheap and plentiful. It isn't the fastest bike in its class, but it is a joy to ride. Get in touch with your local dealer and get a test ride (all the RE dealers seem to have demo bikes).

Day 14. Ban Krut to Chumphon.
Yesterday afternoon both Mike and Al arrived at Ban Krut. Mike gave a great comedy act trying to erect his tent on the beach and eventually brought it onto the street where the lights helped him sort it out.
Today we left to ride south following the coast if possible. Our first stop was at Mae Ramphueng Bridge, here.
We split up here as Mike has fallen for a sea gypsy and is courting her on the beach and impressing here with his tent erection skills!
Al and I rode into Chumphon City where we will stay a while exploring.
Hi Chris, is Samui on your list for your travels down south? I know a very nice beach bar in the south of the island, and wouldn't mind buying you a beer or two...plenty of room there for Mike to practice his tent erection skills

I did look at lazada. For the YTZ6V about 700b delivered. Checked 2 shops on Sukhumvit 900b, the Honda repair shop on Pattaya Tai, 1,150b.
I like the idea of lithium, but I don't know about the brands and quality.
I got my last one from these guys off Lazada...you get a choice of pre filled with acid, or add the acid yourself, I've done both, the last one I chose pre filled

Going to HK to pray at temples sounds like even more BS.
In that, you are wrong...a friend of mines wife (and her friends) are going to do exactly that in a few weeks time

The pinned thread is quite general about extension of stay and 90-days address report – I don't mention "retirement extension" – and you can find many answers there.
If you ask at immigration, you will get a paper with what documents to bring, it's not that difficult. If you follow the pinned thread about Samui Immigration, you can also find document lists updated answers there. The pinned thread is about retirement extensions...and nothing to do with 90 day reports.
What the OP was asking, and you obviously missed the point, was how could we make their life, and ours, simpler if there was a data base that didn't require a trip to immigration (Samui specific)...and half a day wasted if you live in the south of the island, much longer if you live on one of the islands serviced by Samui immigration.
For some unknown reason you seem to be some sort of fanboy of Samui immigration, when i did my retirement extension last year there was no mention of the 'Photo in front of the house' in extension tread, so what use is it? Even the girl who does the paperwork check downstairs said, and I quote 'its best to come about three days before your renewal because they keep changing the rules'.

This thread has nothing to do with Samui retirement extensions

Both those requirements have been required for an extension based on marriage for as long as I've been doing one.
If they bump up the 800k retirement extension to 1.5m I'll probably switch to a marriage one as the two are getting closer and closer from the paperwork side

Just been to immigration this morning to renew my retirement extension, they've added another requirement to the list...photo of you stood in front of your house with the house number showing ????
There are a few new forms to fill out, but the girl at the check desk will give you those and they can be filled in there easy enough. They've also added a line stating that the bankbook statement must be done on the same day as your application at immigration.

someone in one of the checking windows shouted out, "90 Day Reports
They used to do that upstairs as well...thankfully I haven't had to do a 90 day report there in over two years (I do mine online now)

Which Mainland reservoir do you believe the water is coming from?
It's meant to be coming from Ratchaprapha

Has they can control the flow, why don't they pump the water directly into the new pipe system they have laid down all over the island?
The pipes they laid are about a meter in diameter (one in, and two out to the reservoirs)...the only way you can control flow is through pressure...the amount of pressure needed to move water through a meter diameter pipe is quite a lot, so every house nearest the pumping station would have its pipes explode.
The pic below is of them laying the pipes in our road, there was one more added on top of the two you can see

THe reservoirs are filled with rain water
THey have over the last few years laid down a load of pipes to connect to the undersea pipeline. which is part of the isands supply - so if the rain wter fills up th reserb=voir, where will the water from the pipeline go? - I guess it will just run off.
The pumps are only run when when the water levels in the reservoirs drop to a certain level...they are not designed to run constantly

can't see the point of putting it in the reservoirs
Because that's how it gets distributed throughout the island

apparently not - I'm told from one source it goes into a sump and then into the new piped system around the island.
Yes it does go into a sump (header tank)...it is then pumped from the header tank to the reservoirs. The header tank and pumps are 500mtrs up the road from my house

Maybe it came from the radiator? It definitely sounded like something mechanical suddenly broke.
Battery was recently changed so it's fine. Kawasaki will pick it up on Monday and I'll update this thread then. Got a feeling it's something major.
15 hours ago, Kawazaki650R said:Huh weird. Just tried starting it and it started perfectly. Will ride it tmrw to see it ABS is flashing or not. Should I still take it to kawasaki for them to check it? It's been doing some weird stuff sometimes
Oil lamp goes on when breaking hard is that normal? Also sometimes the engine temp light goes on but always goes off if I turn it on and off. Spat out coolant a few times too. And now this.
Check the cooling fan...not unheard of for them to fail
