From what my wife told me yesterday they're home-grown, most of the cases are from the market/camp/housing at Plai Laem market (the Big Buddha market)...so even tho the market is closed they're still living on top of each other there

Get that sorted and vaping will be the best thing sliced bread...but I still don't see how he's going to get past the Thai Tobacco Monopoly ????

Must be in training for a Bonneville Salt Flats attempt
QuoteThere’s no denying the power of the black-and-white image—a man clad in swim trunks and sneakers lying at across a speeding motorcycle, his head down and his feet dangling far past the back wheel.
The man was Rollie Free, and the 1948 picture shows him setting the American motorcycle land-speed record of 150 mph

Only just. ????
I know it's on the limit...but the bike spends 80% of it's time off-road and I hardly ever ride it thru town. It's a 2013 so has been tested quite a few times and I've never been pulled up about it ????

i'm assuming you're in the "loud pipes save lives" gang ??
Not really, none of my bikes have loud pipes...the loudest is probably the CRF, it's got a genuine Yoshimura system on it, along with an EJK and modded air-box (stage #1 mods) so that it actually runs properly now...it's road legal at 95dB. The early CRF's (up to about 2017) ran really lean.
I don't have a problem with loud pipes, mainly because I was young once and remember what it was all about...the sound of a RD350 on cans is a truly beautiful sound, not to all, granted, but to me, yes! At least a loud bike has passed and gone in a few seconds...unlike dogs who bark for hours on end ????
Changing exhaust systems used to be easy, on modern bikes not so...most now have catalytic converters and sealed ECU's so unless you know what you're doing you will do more harm than good.
If you don't get the idea of modifying your ride then you're not really biker at heart...hence my comment about Facebook 'bike groups' ...as someone's signature on here says...

Panyadee Covid tests? Not to my, and my child's, knowledge, but parents and guardians got letters from the school about both the ISS- and the Winfield-outbreak, and to check the children - and/or grownups - if the have been close to anyone from these schools.
I've just had it clarified, the ones that have been tested recently (PCR test) at Panyadee have siblings either at Winfield or Oonrak

So are both ISS and Windfield now closed ?
ISS is closed for half-term and should reopen on the 18th, not sure about Windfield.
On a side note, I heard yesterday that students at Panyadee and Oonrak were being tested

Me thinks someone else got the 47mil...she would be living in a mansion with at least one Benz on the drive, not in an apartment with a rusty bicycle out front ????

QuoteHow safe are e-cigarettes?
In the UK, e-cigarettes are tightly regulated for safety and quality.
They're not completely risk free, but they carry a small fraction of the risk of cigarettes.
E-cigarettes do not produce tar or carbon monoxide, two of the most harmful elements in tobacco smoke.
The liquid and vapour contain some potentially harmful chemicals also found in cigarette smoke, but at much lower levels.
The above is from the UK NHS (National Health Service)

I have been told that the school is closing for 14 days. Not from Jeremy but from one of the teachers.
Yes that's true, as soon as the first cases came to light they brought forward the half-term holiday by a couple of weeks

There is a cluster of Covid-19 at ISS (International School Samui).
Another 8 added today, so far these have all been primary school kids, no secondary kids tested positive as yet

The figures are for tourist related businesses, and from what I see driving around (I'm not including all the 7-11's and Family Marts that have shut) there are hardly any, no Safari Tours, bars, bike rentals...I live in the south of the island and you'd be hard pushed to find a restaurant that's open.

I have no idea where they pull these figures from...in Samui I'd say the figure was closer to 15% open, 50% closed temporarily and 35% gone to the wall

More COVID cases in Surat Thani?
in Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao
Posted
My daughter had her Pfizer jab today, and I think by the end of the month most kids on Samui should have been done (unless their parents ruled against it), so yeah, let the schools open...Covid isn't going to go away anytime soon
