Good day, I am about to do my 2nd extension on my Non-O visa based on being married. My problem is I am leaving the country in a bit more than 3 weeks. Last year it took a whole month to get the remaining 11 months stamped into my passport. Any possibility that the second time the process is a bit faster?

Big trend is to modify pickup trucks like racing cars. I can see so many with the exhaust just purely removed, ECU and turbo modified, plus the big wheels going out of the wings...... the black smoke coming out of these pickup is just insane but..... according to the owners it is so cool! Just to clarify few points: - I did have a letter from my wife. - I was wearing clean clothes, long pants (it seems someone was assuming my appearance could have been the problem.....) - Regarding the finance: I was short of maybe 50k thb and only because I was working offshore India and internet was crap, not allowing me to transfer money to Thailand on time.... I am not asking to bend the rules or circumvent any, i am just trying to share my experience of IO creating or adding new rules on the last minute..... By the way, using an agent and preaching that you don't support bribes.... what a f@@@ng joke!!!

Either you are mentally challenged or you can't read a post before posting.... or both. Your comment is out of place. We are not all working in an office from monday to friday, 9 to 5, with a clear planning for month ahead. I am following the rules, by the book but the book adjusted with non written rules by IO.

Hi All, Due to my job and the frequent travel abroad, the 1 year visa has always been the best option for me. I just wanted to share with you my 2 last attempt to get a 1 year Non - O ME visa (Thai Spouse) in Vietnam. My first attempt was in March in HCMC. I started by sending them an email explaining what type of visa I was looking for. I wanted more explanation regarding the financial proof they expected. ( New to me as Pre Covid, they were asking for none) They said that only a 3 month bank statement and another letter from the bank showing 20k Thb were enough.... I went there, first thing the employee checked was my bank statement (Just below 400k thb) and he told me that it was not enough for a ME visa as I needed at least 40k thb / month or 400k thb in my account. ( No mention of it on their website nor in their email....) I ended up going back home with a 3 month Non - O visa...... Failed. Second attempt was in June and this time I went to Hanoi. Same thing, I send them an email and they were a lot more clear in their requirement. It made me feels confident that this time would be the good one.... 4 days after dropping all my documents, I went back to the embassy to get my passport, I was only given a 3 month visa..... again. The reason this time was: "We only deliver ME visa for people working in Vietnam...." Despite the fact that they gave me back the change, 120$, I barely managed to keep calm! I left one more time Vietnam with a 3 month visa.... Failed. I just applied for a 1 year extension on this second visa but unfortunately, I will have to leave the country before the end of the 1 month probation.... Not sure where I will go next time to apply for a new visa.... I hope my feedback can help people to prepare their trip to these embassy.
