Neither is Kowalski, O'Reilly or Goldstein but there are many Americans with those names. Are you anti Japanese.

Well, coming from Singapore he thought he could relax for the first time in his life, let down his (short short) hair, bend the rules, laugh a lot and vote for the Communist Party ...
Maybe even chew some gum.

Who are the faceless men/women that make up the Constitutional Court? Are they inspired by pheua Thai or the military?

An apology generally includes the words I was wrong. It should not simply be sorry but Chinese were on my lawn last week and attempt to justify bad and entitled behaviour. You were wrong mate. You should have another go at the apology and leave out the irrelevant mitigation.
Man up!

As in the Mikado "let the punishment fit the crime". Sounds like a minor assault i.e. no injuries, followed by a slanging match. Maybe a hefty fine and the Thai equivilent of a good behaviour bond might suffice. Hardly grounds for deportation even though his actions can only be described as entitled and abhorrent.

That was not me. And the age of sexual consent has nothing to do with alcohol consumption.
Really? I always thought that in the vast majority of cases, not all, that alcohol consumption and sexual consent went hand in glove.

It never really has been a great tourist attraction. 10 years ago the monkeys were roaming around free and raiding nearby shops as well as attacking passerby's... Only in the last few years have the people been complaining. Also they are using the excuse about development in the area taking away the monkeys habitat. But anyone who has been there know that their habitat is the city. And no development would change that. They spouted off about sterilising the monkeys. But they were doing that also the past few years and it did not help. They need to change the city and make a home for all those monkeys if they really want to do something constructive. Perhaps relocate all monkeys to government land and make it a tourist spot. If they don't the monkeys will continue to rule this city as they do now.
It might be better and easier to find a way to relocate and sterilise the people who have caused this with their mid city food festival for monkeys.

Given the horrendous number of fatalities on the roads, and the potential to save so many of them, the importance of the Police General in charge of traffic should be elevated. Thailand's most respected and effective officer seems to be Police General Hakpan "Big Joke". He seems to love a challenge and the Thai people. Save hundreds of lives. Do it.

The Everly Brothers song "DREAM" for some reason springs to mind
Wasn't that Roy Orbison or is there another version?

The only thing now is to tot up the cost of these disastrous policies over the past 2.5 years.
Australia has just done that, with the venerable Institute of Public Affairs estimating that anti-Covid measures cost the taxpayer A$938 billion (about US$620 billion) and were a catastrophic economic and social failure.
There is nothing venerable about the IPA. Its name disguises what is a Liberal party propaganda machine.

Surely broader policing would bring extra revenue and save lives. Fine increases are only about money.

I just hope that the cables are untangled before they are buried. The headline seems to indicate that tangled cables are going underground.

Now the submarines will cost more unless they don't pay it in USD
The Thai government once bought fighter jets from Sweden with chickens as currency so the falling baht is of little consquence. Will they buy subs with fish? Seems appropriate.

This is so typical of Thailand The authorities get a little push pack from others and backbeddle .
This is anther reason Thais have little respect for authority. They know if they rock the boat it will tip.
This sort of infantile behavior is not tolerated in other countries
Right! In my country they respect authority because our goverment knows the only acceptable "backbeddle" is on election promises.

I don't drink so it dosnt bother me but what have they "backpeddled on".....am I missing something, the ban still apqplies in the 300 yard exclusion zone or not?
Well it's a pity you don't drink because you can't blame missing it on the booze.

I recall going thru this at DM before Suvanabhumi was opened. Little waist high metal barricades like cattle pens set up in main arrival foyer and all bags sealed with tape after xray. Then going thru it all again prior to boarding. I don't think it was a permanent arrangement but it did happen for a time.

How does one randomly stand up?
Do you mean as opposed to randomly taking one's seat?

Forest Gump said it best: "Stupid is as stupid does."
I hate to post to correct others but I am sure that it was Forest's mother, Mrs Gump, who uttered those unforgettable and life altering words. Thanks for sharing.

Has that name been missed? Pol. Col Sukthat. It's a joke right?

Not saying the van driver is beyond blame here but I have narrowly missed rear ending trucks at night on several occaisions because of their either poor or non existing tail lights. Saved only by not travelling at speed.

Journos creating news. The General/PM will be in Japan. If he got an invite and was unable to attend because of his trip the headline would be something like "PM SNUBS US INVITE AND FLEES TO JAPAN". Talk about devil's advocacy.
There is no news here.

Is this the same passport that was produced and issued after the Foreign Affairs offices at Chang Wattana were entered after regular staff had left or has it mysteriously been renewed. It's my understanding that Thai passports have a five year validity.

Ahh, this must be the famous "Somkuan Sida the Magnificent"who I am told can perform the most impossible magic for as little as 20 bht per head.

Follows a similar case. The only difference being 1. The similar case was 2 years ago. 2. The first case a taxi was stolen. 3. The second case a pair of sandals were stolen . The similarity is just eerie. The fact that both offenders were women puts this into the twilight zone.
