  1. I just tried to book a flight from BKK to SGN (Saigon-Ho Chi Minh City), when I checked prices on Tuesday it was still possible to book it but today it says no flights available after 1. April. It is still possible to book these flights on travel websites as skyscanner etc. The same is true for flights from BKK to Hanoi, discontinued...

It looks as Vietnam Airlines will discontinue all its flights from Vietnam to Bangkok from 1. April onwards. Anyone can confirm?

  2. Once again we see the true colours of the reds, they are the violent thugs and will kill anyone who op[poses them, even peacefull protesters. This is directly on yingluck and she is now responsible for this death. Comeon all you red lovers, start bragging how great you are now .

Please let me remind you once again. It was not Yingluck that started this problem, but his excellency the mouth from the south. So this death has to be directly his responsibility. If he had not started this problem, that man would still be alive and waiting for the next election whilst the Elected government would be getting on with running the country as they were popularly elected by a large majority to do.

It was exactly the yingluck government which started all this in the first place!!!!!

  3. Look at the DBD web site. It is in English, but better just go to a local DBD office or your Amphur office and ask. It is very easy and fast for Thai people and can be done in jut 1 to 3 days. Bring prove of residence and/or any doc.about the place of business, plus ID. Will cost about 1000 thb for a individual registration, or a little more for a 2/3 people limited partnership. After that, bring the company docs to a Tax and VAT local office for registration if necessary. That's all. Good luck. About the bank loan....Will require to have prove of enough income, even if she owns a business.....

"About the bank loan....Will require to have prove of enough income, even if she owns a business....."

Yeah I know they require at least 15k baht monthly income according to the SCB website. We could fake this income (I can just borrow her that money), I wonder if that would work! She'll still have to pay taxes on this money, that's the real pain in the a..

and how to pay the bank loan back ... ? rolleyes.gif

  4. Just some thoughts about converting a gasoline car to CNG: CNG burns at about the double temperature of gasoline and needs hardened exhaust valves and seats... head gasket is made for gasoline. CNG lacks the lubricating qualitites of gasoline... CNG does not evaporate at all which will increase temperature of the exhaust valves... CNG runs at a different air-fuel ration than gasoline... All the sensors and engine controls are adjusted for, well, gasoline... this includes cooling system, temperature sensors etc. which all need to be adjusted which is not easy in todays computerized cars...

if buying a new car fitted for LPG all of this will be taken care of... if converting at the shop next door, you might just have to trust them...

  5. anyone in Pattaya?i just come of the phone to a mate of mine staying in Pattaya telling me its packed, all the bars full,

a bit concerned as i arrive in a few days and dont have anywhere to stay, thought it might have been easier this year to find a room

as all the talk of doom and gloom.

any feed back would be apreciated

Walking street disco's are empty, never seen it like that even in "offseason"...

  6. Showing muscles after the big group left. Big deal.

Prosecute them to the full extent of the law...

......which didn't happen in 2010. OTOH those red guards who were charged almost got an amnesty.

So should they be prosecuted to the full extent of the law......and then given amnesty?

Ah yes Mick but under this government things have moved forward, PTP have obviously learnt from the Abhisit fiasco..........

The PTP government has controlled the protestors from the initial gathering with the minimal injury

PTP rather than try to cling to power have instantly dissolved parliament

    instantly???????? cheesy.gif

  7. hopefully less tourists will come. Better for us all really

Have to agree with that one, Chiang Mai is over run at the moment.

Yes and the Service I get here in Chiang Mai right now is: Just Hand over your Money and fck off! Never experienced so much hate against foreigners and terrible Service as right now here in the red Shirt capital Chiang Mai. Visited 2 times a year for about a month each time the past 3 years. This time was the last time for sure.

  8. I usually go to the departures floor and go outside to the sidewalk where there are always plenty of taxis after dropping off customers and are delighted to take you to Pattaya for 1000 thb.including tolls. If I was travelling with the bird and a lot of baggage ,aside from her, I think I'd try the first guy recommended a try and have peace of mind that there was someone there waiting for me.

As far as I heard from Thai friends, this isnt working anymore, as it is not possible anymore to EXIT on floor 4 departure level, enforced by security. Security will not let anyone EXIT the doors on floor 4. This Forces everyone to use the official taxi at floor 2 and pay the extra 50bt. Can anyone confirm this? I guess the fare to pattaya would then be the Standard 1500bt too?
