  1. I bought a motorbike here 2 years ago (proof of residence from immigration) and would like to buy a car now.

I remember that immigration asks for WHAT the proof of residence is required and they will specifically issue the document for this reason and mention this on the document (opening banking account, buying new or used motorbike/car etc... ....).

I see now that a non immigrant visa is required to buy a car, plus working permit OR proof of residence. Is it really not possible to register a car in my name without a Non Immigrant Visa? Is this depending on the province where the car would be registered?

-Who will check my visa? Immigration, eg they wont issue a proof of residence to buy a car. Or Department of Land and Transportation and they wont register a car in my name even I have the proof of residence?

  2. Does anyone know the location of Ford in Pattaya?

I found this adress on their website

15/69 Sukhumvit, Na Kluea, Bang Lamung, Chon Buri 20150, Thailand

Supposed to be in North Pattaya, probably close to BKK Hospital?

But google maps shows it as located near Greenway Driving range in South Pattaya. Looks as this was the old location as I also found some articles that they moved recently.

  3. No more free bags! Start charging 1THB per Bag, similar as in China and you will see how fast people will learn to bring their own bag. I get sick of seeing how some guys get their stuff packed in dozens of small plastic bags just to put them back to their shopping cart and then unload the dozens of small bags in their car later....

  4. On Sep 19th I went with my normal visa service (http://www.thaivisaservice.com/) to the Vientiane office and was denied. I was originally planning to go to the Cambodia office but my agent was currently stuck there with a group of 60 people trying to get visas and also denied. I have 3 back to back visas - 2 from Vientiane (1 double/1 single) and 1 double from Phnom Penh. Quite a few people in Vientiane were denied as well and they gave us a preprinted form stating the reason for denial was people working illegally. So I just went with the 15 day and will try again on Oct 4th. If anyone else with 3 visas has been able to get one please post the office and agent you used. Thanks.

Get it in Phnom Penh, just got tourist single entry with several Tourist Visas in my passport already. Works well if you are not from Nigeria or Philippines...

What documentation did they ask you for?

    None. Used agent.

  6. I am in Phnom Penh right now, will be using Travel Agent to apply for Tourist Visa. Been told double entry not possible anymore, NO documents (flight/hotel booking etc) needed but not sure they can get the Visa as my passport contains several Thai Tourist Visa's plus extensions already. Will know more in 2 days....

    Please report what happens.

Got my tourist visa here in Phnom Penh, single entry, within 2 days. Double entry not possible. Applied sunday evening, picked up tuesday evening. Used agent, no flight or hotel bookings needed. I have 5 Tourist Visas in my passport already, this is Nr. 6... I have been traveling extensively to Japan, Korea, China etc etc and not just TH to Cambodia and back... It should work if you are NOT from Nigeria or the Philippines as I was told...

  7. I hope I am not hijacking this thread, but could you tell me the price at Phoenix? I am just getting back into golf and am interested in the less expensive courses here.

    2000 weekdays, 2500 weekends;

    Caddy 250

    golfcart not compulsory, 700

Sports days: Tue, Wed, Thu, Greenfee 800 B.Except Holiday Till 31October

  8. Perth is likely the closest place to obtain a multi entry non immigrant O visa and would require letter from a Thai and copy of there ID card for issue

-> This visa is based on visiting someone and the letter would be an invitational letter? Is there a form for the letter? What should be included? Any copies of bank account statements? Further info?

    Thanks.

  9. I am Swiss, 32, not married, not working, staying in SE-Asia for 2.5 years already on long holidays. I didnt bother that much about Thai Visa Rules as I was constantly travelling (Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia).

I am currently on my 3rd extended single entry Tourist Visa within a year (all from Phnom Penh, 1st one April 2009 and extended for 30days, 2nd one September and extended for 30 days, 3rd one from January 2010 and extended for 30days until 7. April 2010).

Now planning to stay in Thailand for a longer period of time (+1 year), I am looking into the different visa options.

    - Is there any way I could get a Non Immigrant Visa, either in a neighbouring country or back home in Europe? (32yrs old, not working, not married)

As I read in some posts, I might get declined at Penang for a Tourist visa, therefore considering Vientiane for a double entry Tourist Visa or Phnom Penh for single entry Tourist Visa.

    Any help is appreciated.
