  1. I have a 14K gold bracelet I need cut, then sized and re-soldered with 14K gold, does anyone in here know of a real goldsmith who does good fast service, not just a gold shop, but a craftsman in custom gold work. Directions and or phone number would be great !! :)

    Would appreciate any replies-

  2. It's ironic that Cambodia seems to be more pro business.

Yes and Thanksin could have something to do with that like he did for Thailand, so all you Thaksin haters better get your ducks all lined up in staright row, before throwing him to the lions??????????????????? :D

My opinion Thaksin was good for Thailand's bussiness oppertunities, and getting Thailand out of the sluge laden trench it is in now. :):D

  3. Tipping is a frangs way of spoiling all Thai's, or to try to get into a cuties pants, we are cutting our own throats with even starting the tipping BS.

When you play golf, you pay a caddie fee along with green fee, which the caddies get (minus taxes) at the end of each month (caddie fee). Then we tip them after the round for their expertise on the course or not, so this should be up to the player to evaluate how much, but they put their hand out to receive a tip and expect at least 200-250 or more, we have spoiled them to the degree that they expect a high tip along with their monthly caddie fee.

Granted I love the caddies and they do (usually) a good job, but they get pissed off when someone tips lower then average, when they were on the cell phone, non attentive during play, or whatever the situation, they just expect a good tip, we have spoiled them and demolished the whole purpose of the word tip, making it an expected wage for them. :)

  4. Does not need hightech gear to see a motorbike has no light. It is about time they started fining people for that.

No lights, no mirrors, no helmets, only one or two people per bike, not a family of four, and wife holding 2 month old kid in her arms, not riding up opposite side of the road towards traffic, making sure everyone has a license to ride one, a real testing program, not 10-12 old kids riding, with no traffic sense, not using cell phones while riding, plus holding a umbrella at the same time, when out in the sun or rain, oh ya there is a lot of basic changes that can be made here, for sure, but life is very, very cheap here in Thailand.

But if the cops do all these same things, what prayer do we all have of any change, get real. :)

  5. Can you translate these rules of etiquette to Thai and make them required reading for caddies?

For all Thai groups, especially letting a group go through if you are SLOW, this pretains to fivesome's, and military Thai groups. :)

  6. These are very popular, and legal in the US, hospitals, and Dr's bills can run any family into complete ruins, they try to keep you alive, even if it is a total waste of time.

Give the surviors and families the last word, to pull the plug . :)

  7. MSG is a natural flavor enhancer with almost no ill effects to healthy human beings. Sounds worth a try.

No wonder the last cuppa I had sent me off into space, totally wired. I agree, I just want a good regular cuppa, without all the BS added, maybe only "REAL" milk if anything.

Can this actually be done, and if so how do you say it in Thai, to make your order? :)

  8. Having an operational cable does not equal a faster operation in Thailand. There are probably numerous commissions of people who want to look like they are important who have to deal with the subject first, than maybe, they may start giving the consumers a bit more bandwidth. So do not get to exited. It will take a long long time before we actually see an improved internet speed.

I don't see much, if any at all difference in my CAT Fiber Optic set up.

  9. Civil Court Accepts Thai Airway's 575 Mln Baht Suit against People's Alliance

    UPDATE : 9 December 2009

The Civil Court accepts the 500 million baht lawsuit filed against the People's Alliance for Democracy by Thai Airways for damages caused to the company after the group's protest forced the closure of Suvarnabhumi Airport late last year.

Thai Airways International filed a 575 million baht lawsuit against Major General Chamlong Srimuang and 35 other defendants at the Civil Court for damages caused by the People's Alliance for Democracy or PAD when they gathered at Suvarnabhumi and Don Muang Airports from November 25 to December 4 last year.

Thai Airways claimed the PAD's protest against the Somchai Wongsawat administration inevitably forced the international airport to shut down temporarily.

The plaintiff claimed damages to the company's loss of earnings, including 402 million baht spent on transferring passengers to other airlines, 59 million baht to cover the accommodation and food for stranded passengers and 17 million baht for employees' allowance.

The first hearing for this case is scheduled for August 3 next year at 9 a.m. at the Civil Court.
