Any rain anywhere on Samui yesterday? .....I think not....

I agree with the OP, the Thais are getting more aggressive. Probably because of the lack of money...

Apparently the 44 between Krabi and Surat opened today.
How's the situation between the highway and Donsak, is that still flooded?
Just got off the phone with a friend in Surat. She says it‘s ok to travel from the 44 to Donsak. Looking to go the other way (Phuket) myself on Friday...

The girl from the night before normally cleans my house in the morning.... It‘s like magic
On a more serious note; have you checked with the shop at Thai International hospital "soi"? Supplies cleaning products to many hotels. They might have the stuff you are looking for.
Good hunting!

I think the first attempt to start a supermarket was Bill the Swede and the building still stands in South Chaweng. Previous to this, he was the only source of butter and bacon on the island which he used to hand carry down packed in dry ice, from BKK on the train every two weeks ! Then a German opened Nowi Deli next door. Both these guys are still around, true entrepreneurs !
Was it not at the place of the First hotel? Or a little bit further? Nowi was way later than Bill's Supermarket. I think they are in Nathon now. There is also a closed Nowi on the street to Raja ferry.
The Nowi in Lipa Noi (next to Raja ferry) is open!! I bought some stuff there today. Get you facts right Birdman!!!

Is there a pun intended in the headline of the OP?

Norway's got a huge pile of oil money and an enviable budget surplus. 200,000 baht is a lot of money for this retired expat but in a country that has the most expensive Big Mac in the world and Starbucks grande he'll get over it.
There is no Starbucks in Norway, but you are correct about the Big Mac...

The black pipes are for water distribution.
Is it worth a beer?

And I thought the reply was going to be;... "you are on Koh Samui now, 40 pence is all you can afford after Bangkok Airways robbed you! "
