  1. Thanks all...  Although I agree with everyone , my issue is time.  I had thr hoiuse here renovated and it wasnt the best experience ,  B standard work for farang pricing... what can you do.

Hua Hin is our holiday home so don't really want to spend time here repairing small jobs etc.

I'm still amazed that there isn't a Thai company capitalizing on this opportunity. They could get high margins if they developed a quality reputation.

    Thanks again for responding,

  2. Hi All,

Looking for advice on whether to buy Titanium plus or wait for Platinum plus if becomes available next year ( Really, really like the extra gadgets, bigger engine etc..).  Anyone know if next year Everest will have either  V6 Platinum Option, or will have memory seats etc as standard in V4 Titanium etc or even a Hybrid ? . Have scoured net but info is either youtube clickbait or just rubbish about current.  [A bit peeved at Ford ,  they make 375 Platimum limited edition ,  sells out in a day ... fair enough but how about creating an order list with hefty non returnable deposit and say 6 month lead time ?) or at least posting on your website that Platinum is not available anymore.]

    Advice would be appreciated

(Note I've had a Fortuner for 11 years but time for change )

    Thanks

  3. Hi,

Can someone elightmen me on changes in Tides etc along Hua Hin beach.  Been coming to Hua Hin for years and regularly walk from around Market Village ALL. the way to Khao Takiab Hill (Buddha Statue) at least once a day.  Depending on tides , could do either early morning, afternoon or early evening .

Last year coming here the tide is always IN and impossible to do ?

Something changed ?   ..  I'm stumped as I checked tidal times and they don't seem to match where low tides were before .

For example last couple months ,  essentially no beachfront from Market Village to well Khao Takiab,  Beach op[ens a little for last KM to Buddha hill but not for too long

Appreciate any insights ? ... I currently go around the hill to walk Takiab beach on other side but Its not as nice,

    Cheers

  4. Hi,

Was wondering if anyone could advise on the below problem:

2 years ago, the fuel pump died on my Fortuner (2012 Diesel Model) and was replaced by Toyota Dealer.

But after that, I ran out of fuel because Fuel Indicator needle on dashboard  dropped to about 1/8th full and stopped (note yellow low fuel light also failed to come on beside it),  car ran out of fuel and had to tow to dealer.

Dealer said fixed (they took out entire tank to check) but no luck,  went back and said fixed and still no luck.  They don't know how to fix it it seems.

(Note I went to another shop and they told me that Toyota can use program to fix, when went back to Toyota they said they had done this reprogram each time.)

Meanwhile I'm using odometer to judge when to fill up.

Hoping someone here can provide guidance or ideas on how to fix this small but annoying issue.

    Cheers

Never used TOPS, never been to one as the closest is too far, but as well as passiondeliery, I have used paleorobbie, britishop and siamburi's and can recommend all of them.

Out of 25 or so orders, all have arrived on the day they schedule, all chilled or frozen perfectly. I had 2 orders in for Christmas food and all delivered on time, even though they shipped from Pattaya to Kanchanaburi.

Sorry to hear about TOPS, must have been a bit stressful ????

Thanks for the tips,  i've tried a few of above, will look at others.  Overall, my delivery experience in Thailand has been good to excellent and it in incredibly cheap to get deliveries compared to West.

A stressful hour but passiondelivery came through.   Only regret was delivery guy left so fast , I wanted to tip him !

  6. All,

Has anyone purchased an MFC printer (preferably Color)  for use by Mac . (I have macbook pro)

My printing needs are light (20-40 pages per month ,  some color , occasional photo) ...  I do some doc scanning too and occasional photocopy

Would like Airprint/Wifi/ethernet as well if possible.

Hoping someone has purchased a good printer recently as its been very hard to find out which is good by online research.

    cheers,

  9. Is there a tile shop that doesn't sell mirror shiny floor tiles? I can't stand them and they are slippery as hell.

I'm looking for flat or semi flat finish stone floor tiles.

Both Megahome (Rangsit) anf Thai WatSadu (Chaeng Wattthana , Bang Na ++) sell semi finished floor tiles (plus wood style as above).

Stock can be an issue . I've been dragged there multiple times over last few weeks :-(.

I'm checking Hua Lamphong this weekend as some post said there are a few tile stores there

    Regards,

    N

  10. No comments? I saved all of you guys at least 10.000 baht with this tip!

Serious this granite/stone/tileshop has grown very fast last years and is huge now. Why? Because they are cheap and have good quality stones.

This one costs half of Boonthavorn.

    Thanks Thian,

I've only been able to see a few smaller ones around. This looks to be great.

I'm renovating a bathroom , do they sell tiles too ? (I think so from Website)

If you have any recommendations for good Bathroom renovation tradesmen would appreciate a PM.

    Regards,

    Neal
