They obviously had their glasses on and saw you coming For my periodic eye checks I only pay 5/600 baht and have done for years. Also Thais ane not too fussy about the frames, and that's where a good deal of the cost is.

5000 baht for an eye test is excessive to say the least.

Was it Bangkok pattaya where you have been paying 500/600 ? my friend tried it after me telling him they wanted 5000, they told him 5000 too, it would pay me to give you 500 for your trouble and go along with you !

Yeah mabe one of the other dealer's is also trading for Suzuki, but as someone said it all seem's to have gone ass up, there's no Suzuki sign's anywere ? The Suzuki shop my friend used to go to was just across the sukhumvite oposite north pattaya road, a proper Suzuki shop, big Suzuki sign and men in Suzuki overhall's with a great big Suzuki logo on the back, ah, those were the day's !

If like me you have to wear glasses then the chance is you've been rolled bigtime on the price, My Thai wife wear's glasses and a pair for her is 400/700bht for me 5000/7000 bht, if she goes in to buy my glasses I get them for 400 bht but the problem is sometime's I must go in for the eye test, same thing again, an example Bangkok pattaya for eye test, 500 bht for my wife and 5000 bht for me, Ok I know about two tier pricing but the diference on spectacle's is ridiculas, also when a farang goes into the shop they alway's try to sell you plastic lense's, because there lighter, they say there more expencive, there not for the Thais, my wife alway's get's plastic because there cheeper !

I will soon be in the market for another second hand vehicle, I am looking at Toyota's pick up range, something about 6/7 year's old, what I have noticed is that with the nice high 4*4 truck's nearly all are gear, ( stick shift ) no automatic's but in the low truck's, ie 2wd there are many automatic's, now automatic is more important to me than 4*4 so what I was thinking is buy a low 2wd automatic version and get it raized up with new spring's bigger wheel's ect to the same hight as the 4*4, the 2 wheel drive's are generaly cheeper so the saved money would pay to have it lifted, what do you think of this idear ?

I would hazard a guess you have an electronic ignition module problem, the short stop allow's just enouth time to cool the component's to allow it to start again but as time goes on the length of time required to waite get's longer and longer, the classic module breakdown !
