Why don't you leave your bag at the airport. There is a storage facility on the ground floor right up past arrivals on your right if your looking at arrivals. I did a couple of years back. You advise them the date of return and they have it waiting for you. Great service for about 50 baht a day.

As you said. I must be just you. I have lived here over ten years and taken countless taxi journeys and may have had one or two that got lost. If you get a taxi from the airport there is a 50 baht surcharge. Try getting a taxi in your country for a 30 km trip for about $12.00. I thing mostly it is a great service.

Most restaurant will promote it as Pon Yang Kham beef as opposed to import or regular Thai beef.

There is a Pon Yang Kham branch at Sukhumvit 33 next to Villa Market. Just like a regular butcher back in Australia with their meat on display in the front of the shop.

I am a former owner of a business in Ubon and I bought from Pon yang Kham many times. You can fax or phone a order to them, transfer the money to them and they will pack in a foam box and put it on a bus for you to pick up at the bus station. Simple as that.

If his delivery vehicle has dual wheels at the rear then he is forbidden to drive it. A vehicle with dual rear wheels requires a truck licence and foreigners are not permitted to obtain a truck licence.

Thank you very much Gents...Your lists are almost a carbon copy of what I have in Thai.

Greetings..could someone please give me a link as to where I can download a copy of the Non "O" for marriage checklist in English. I went into my local Immigration office
and they only have it in Thai.
Cheers.

I have been to BB half a dozen times in the past 18 months and have always enjoyed the food and the ambience. I first went in for the lamb shanks. Excellent I have to say. Can't say I have had any bad
experience there at all. Nice to sit at the big tables or at the outside counters watching the world go by being served by pleasant staff.

Is this a " April Fools day" joke??

That brings back memories. I can suggest another for you and I am sure it will tweek a few memories and that's Muteus Rose' or Castle Mendes. Mutues is available at villa market about 550 a bottle and CM is at wine connection HH. Nothing like some Italian food and a bottle of Muteus. Cheers

Hi David. You should give HH a miss over Sonkran as its a nightmare. Try something different and travel 100 kms south to beautiful Prachuap Khiri Khan. Granted it doesn't have the huge selection of restaurants that HH has but it is just paradise.

You hit the nail on the head Paul, I drove into PKK for the first time on the 5th of January last year. We instantly fell in love with the town and in March my wife and myself relocated from Ubon Ratchathai to Prachuap. Yes it has stray dogs like any where else but it is a super clean town, beautiful beaches that you can have to your self, cheap seafood and the list goes on. The local Thais and Westerners here are very friendly and always willing to help. That's my view on this beautiful part of Thailand.

Thai food for any meal is an invitation to an emergency room ! Why do you think the first 20 shelves in any Thai pharmacy are filled with stomach medications ?
Then don't eat it! Thai food is a taste sensation. Still need the Western hit every so often, but even then it does not have the multiple tastes that Thai food can provide.

If its not too late try Top Deck in Prachuap on the beach front. Formally known as Jims Bar

I am looking for beef kidneys for steak and kidney pies on a commercial basis. If anyone knows an outlet I would be grateful.

I don't think it is dead as some have put it. Yes it's a little quiet which could be a combination of a number of things such as the exchange rate for one. I live in Prachuap City and there are no shortage of tourists here as the season starts up. Regardless of the drama's that Thailand has on the political scene, people still love to come to this beautiful part of the world. Keep a positive outlook and all will be good. Lets face it, even if your not in the tourist business, if tourist come it boosts the local economy and in turn that must help even the guy sitting in the pub on the corner.

Shouldn't adults be immune to this from vaccination or childhood infection?
Adults are definitely not immune to it. My wife has just spent a week in Bkk Hospital Hua Hin with it and as an adult it much worst than having the virus as a child. She had a temperature of 40 for a day or two and it was not nice. I thought I had it as a kid and when I asked my 84 year Mum to assure me I had it, she said....Hmmm I think you had it. Or was it your brother. Guess I will find out. Cheers

So they hope a floating football pitch, will make people forget about the Koh Tao murders??
Clearly no end to Thai stupidity in sight!!
Congratulations on a very wellwritten and easily understandable OP!! NOT
You should take a look at the story of the Payee football club and what they did before you be so critical. Why speak so harshly of the Thai's. Are you so perfect?? Your very short sighted.

I have lived in Thailand for 8 years and have never been charged for an exchange. Some Banks require a passport copy and some exchange booths don't require it.

I contacted 123 Parking (thanks Keemapoot) and they are super expensive. Only do monthly or its a hourly rate of 20 then 15 then 10 baht a hour. My wife came up with brainstorm, though I scoffed at it saying they would never do that...ummm wrong!. We are booked in at a hotel in Lumphini on the 31st for one night. She called the hotel told them we are booked in for the 31st and can we leave our car at the hotel from the 20th till we arrive back. To my amazement the reply was yes of course no problem. Job done!!
Thanks for the other suggestions.
