  1.

It can be in two bank accounts but the balance of each one must never go lower than the minimum needed to maintain the 800k total balance at the start of 60 days for the first application or 3 months for subsequent extensions.

?? If you have one account with 800k, why you would need a second one?? facepalm.gif

Up to now i never had a problem with 1 deposit account (600k +) and a savings account (more than 200k).

Is this new, that the money can't move from 1 deposit account to a other, as it usualy does every 5-10 month?

  2. The court has said it's OK, because they are peaceful protesters. They can break the law, no problem.

Correct!! They are above the law and are to be held harmless in any and all consequences of their acts.

It's because they are peaceful protesters, "students", academics and wannabe Ammart. Give them a pass!

Can anyone imagine a world in which all people will think and act that way!!!

The way you are repeat the Reds - Yes

Do you know, that the Reds did not pay 2010 too? :-)

  3. smutcakes post # 6

I was told about one of the money making scams the army use for recruitment other than obviously being paid for drawing black cards, is that many of the recruits from poorer areas would prefer to sit at home on their assess for 2 years rather than have to do anything.

Basically once they are recruited, they are given an option of simply going home for a few years, when at the end of the two years they will be called back for the final 'graduation'. In the meantime the budget for training, foods, accommodations etc is obviously still paid to the various training centers, but only about 50% of those that are supposed to be training are actually their, meaning their is a huge surplus of cash for someone to take.

    ''You were told.''w00t.gif

Strangely enough in our local village and the surrounding villages in Amphur Sangkha Surin all those selected for military service have all done their two years term. They haven't stayed at home they've done what was expected of them. And I am talking of a personal knowledge family wise and friends wise too regarding the matter of a time span of some 22 + years.

Methinks smutcakes that your informant is something of a romantic regarding the notions he or she passes on to you.cheesy.gif

My friends brother was offered exactly as described. Called for national service and offered the choice to go home but that his service pay would not be paid to him but instead passed up the chain of command as it were.

The question is not, if there are scams like this. But for sure not the poor farmers will sit at home. facepalm.gif May think again!

  4. I know "saving face" is a big topic in Thailand but I think the public worldwide has a interest to know who is responsible for the death of 89 people. Relax people (specially falang) just take as a history lesson.

Someone has something to hide and it´s interesting to look behind the curtain.

I would be pleased, if international courts start looking at Thailand: 2005, 2010, 2013/14 and the killings of thousands 2001-4 too.

You may ask your self, who is in power?

  5. @Timwin

This arrogant attitude of Thai Chinese minority is very dangerous. The idea it is their birthright is to rule over Thailand. It could turn against themselves if the angry Reds really started flooding to Bangkok

Do you realy mean Taxins family!? thumbsup.gif

  6. Do these people have a single clue as to what they could possibly be involved in? They say they are not against elections, but want reform first. On the surface, that sounds fine, and I even support that aspect, but like an iceberg, the tip doesn't show the whole picture, or the dangers lurking below the surface.

The danger here is the unseen, unexplained, undefined "People's Council" as stated by Suthep. He claims it will be formed with 300 "good people", but what is his definition of "good people"? And another 100 personally handpicked by him to be appointed. Talk about "stacking the deck". He has yet to define, clearly, where these "chosen few" will come from, other than "from the people". Not a single name has been mentioned.

He claims he will not be a part of it. Is that to be taken with the same belief as "this will be our day of victory. If we don't win today, I will turn myself into the authorities" that he's uttered 3-4 times now after his "victory day" didn't happen? Or his flip-flopping on "we won't interfere with the elections" - "Were going to do everything possible to stop the elections"?

This un-elected "People's Council" would be the ruling authority of the country, with zero checks and balances, and could quite easily stay in power as long as they want, and never mind the "6 - 18 months" Suthep has quoted before elections again. There's no guarantee that elections would be held in the next 3-5 years with this bunch.

Be careful what you wish for.

A Thai, this we can see all after reading 10 % of his ... text. facepalm.gif

A 'Normal" tongue.png Thai, who is not used to think free!

Sad, sad. In every sentence he likes to please all his smiling

    "corruption dos'nt kill" followers.

He starts with this: "Your supreme protest leader" bah.gif After this we know who is PRs leader !!bah.gif d you

If you like to snap your fingers, shame on you! Out of what rich family do you come ? A family where

the staff has to lie about the money for there not so s(a)mart masters? (Chaing Mai royals )

    and the best

    We - and I say "we" ..........

    Sorry, I , I, i

You can not see, that you do exactly the same as you accuse others for?

You not see, that corruption brings Thailand down?

    You ......

  8. He's just announcing that he's going to enforce the law which seems a perfectly reasonable thing for a democratically elected government to do.

Sorry, it looks like you do not know, or you you do not like to know, something about Thailand.

Thailand is everything, but a reasonable democracy,

and asking for law enforcement now, will only make the things worse.

There are now peoples, who did ask for burning down Bangkok and kill crazy.gif ,

sitting in the government. .... and there was a lot of killing and burning!

If they let somebody right now ask for arrests, shows this only, that they have

    no intentions for peace.

  9. The he said that he can do something special for me and that I don't have to do any more 90 day reports. I could come back to renew the extension next year and make sure that I see him. This way, I only have to go to immigration once a year and he will sort out the 90 day reports for me.

I did this for many years and never had a problem.

Why nobody ask me again to pay this 500 Bath? :-(

  10. Usually if a lawyer is found to be braking the law then they would have their right

to practice taken away from them, meaning they would lose their ability to earn a living

    in their chosen occupation.

I find it hard to believe that they would put themselves in that risk for the sake of a few thousand baht

that they charge to set up a company for the purchase of a property.

    Amazing Thailand! clap2.gif
