250฿ for the month on ILIKEHD, which is fine now it appears to be working ok.

good price, does that include on demand as well? Sometimes I can not be bothered staying up to watch something(EPL football) and watch it the next morning when I'm ready, Champions league, boxing, US masters etc

  3. Thank you 'Overherebc', I will not be going back to Vietnam, and I do realise that it is difficult to change outside of Vietnam, that is why I am asking if anyone knows of anywhere that will change it or like you say anyone who may be going there and would like a good deal. Fully prepared to take a poor rate.

  4. Does anyone know where I can change 8 million dong in to either Baht,€,$ or £. I am not sure if the gold bank off Pattaya south road changes dong or indeed if it's still open?  I will try the airport on Friday but would prefer to change before then. Any help appreciated.

  5. It depends how you go about it, what boat you can get, what speed etc ..Is it just to see the monkeys on the beach or a do you want to spend the whole day there (not much to do)? There is a catamaran that does a day trip to 3 islands and finishes up on Monkey island http://serenity-yachting.com/tours/pattaya.html  not been on it for a year now but a great day out for the family. Otherwise I think you would have to hire a boat for the day, anything from probably 3000-35,000 and to get there from Ocean Marina probably takes 30 mins at 15knots from Bali Hi pier probably 1hour 15

  6. why is there better Thai food in San Francisco than in Pattaya?- I don't think there is, that's my opinion- you have yours and I think you are totally wrong!!! just like your telling everybody else that they are wrong or don't get it, especially if they don't agree with your thoughts, opinions or views.  :coffee1:  and before you respond with "don't post', don't bother, I won't be again on this thread....it's an irrelevant thread if people are not allowed to respond without being put down or snobbishly ridiculed its a waste of time anyway.

  7. If the little blighter is yapping its bloody head off, I can understand how he feels, we have one next door and its yapping away from 6am till 9pm everyday, what annoys me the most is the owner can not control it, it does not listen to him and does what it wants!! If you can't control the bloody thing you should not have one! some people have no respect for their neighbors, and can not understand why you get mad. It might be your little bundle of joy that you love but to me its annoying little @$%ker that need a kick up its arse! on in his case a can of soda!

I had the same issue as you have and had come up with a plan so that the neighbors would understand the annoyance.

After they had come home from work I would turn on my 1000 watt stereo system which I have set up with my TV and notebook. I found a video on YouTube with 12 hours of large dogs barking and would turn the volume up to 100, open up the windows and then go out for dinner with my girlfriend for a few hours.

One week later their dog was gone.

    lol!!!!

You can do better than that, dog-hater. If a man can kill his wife because of a crying baby, you can easily kill the bitch that owns the dog

???? dog hater???where does it say that?annoyed, yes, I dont blame the dog, I blame the owner for not training the dog and taking responsibility. Kill the bitch!!!!!! <deleted>, are you off your meds????

  10. Not sure of the exact name, something like the Aroy restaurant, in a sidestreet about opposite Macro, both times I've eaten there I really enjoyed the food.

I'll second that recommendation. Aroi is an excellent restaurant. Large, comfortable, non-smoking, air con interior. Belgian owner is friendly. Food is good, and reasonably priced. Also a fine selection of Belgian beers, if you're willing to spend a bit. Plenty of the usual beers, as well. Also some great desert choices, if that's your thing.

It's on Soi 89, about 100 meters or less before reaching the RR, if going west, on the left side. Parking is under a shaded tarp directly across the road. No significant traffic to deal with on this road.

Dont think Mobi is looking for beer as he is teetotal but otherwise Aroi is good place to meet!

  11. Sorry, it was what I was told and with the Canadian flag on the wall, I thought that was the case, either way not my cup of tea! I understand that after 4 years people will be friendly with you, as I'm sure you have lots of friends in there, but try walking in for the first time and the whole room goes quiet, you say good afternoon and only one Brit who was in replied, but hey, it's no big deal, as I said, not my cup of tea!

  12. Try 'Livv restaurant,' fits your requirements but expensive 33/88 Khaotalo 14/1 Alley, Bang Lamung District, Chon Buri 20150, Thailand

Never found the Blue Moose friendly, if that's the Canadian bar next to the car wash, being in 2 times, not impressed

could try the Faux Irish pub, Murphys law I think its called!

Nana Deli was ok on a Sunday, not sure if open during the week but would expect it to be.

    plus a dozen bars!

  13. Central judders and shakes? I've never noticed - maybe I spend too much time there and I'm used to it. Next time I'm there I'll have some pretzels and reevaluate.biggrin.png

While they where still building the Hilton Hotel on top of the Mall I often felt quite strong judders on the 4th and 5th floors where there is a bridge across the open central space/span of the building...I thought that it was to do with the ongoing construction but now the construction work has finished I'm really not sure at all what causes this

phenomenon..I'm sure that its not "just me" as my wife also felt the floor shake..and I'm quite sure its got nothing to do with the pretzels laugh.png

noticed this on the 5th or 6th floor same as John said a few times no,w when we stopped for Monster slush with kids! felt really weird
