Thanks ste860, I actually did see flyers at El Murphy on Thursday night for St. Patrick's day saying that "stonehead band" were playing there normally. But for some reason I have the idea that there is a different band called that, I didn't think that Eddie's band was called that.
They have been playing their for about 3 years.
I went to El Murphy last night, and as I thought this is not the band I was looking for. Correct, the band is called Stonehead Band or something like that, but that's not what I was looking for.
The band I was looking for is with the long haired Eddie as a singer, little guy on guitar who is the best guitarist I've ever seen, young skinny guy on bass and older very experienced guy on drums. They used to play Thurs-Sun at Stonehead Tavern on the corner of Soi 55, but that is closed now so wonder where they play now. Before this, they played in a tiny place at Bintabaht, think it was called 224.

I'm still not fully across RAM specs. Anyone got recommendations? I would like something in the upper mid-range performance, but not bleeding edge.
The Kingston HyperX 1600 8GB (2 x 4GB) just dropped to half price yesterday in Thailand, could be a good choice. http://www.invadeit.co.th/category/memory/8gb-kit-of-2/

I am aware of the models that come with regular power plugs on the back, the problem is that those are the low-end models and less known brands. I am after an APC model, something like this one: http://www.apc.com/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=br800i and if you look at the output plugs on the back, they are all IEC plugs. Is there some sort of adapter from IEC to regular power plugs?

I am helping a friend decide which UPS to buy to use with his Apple desktop, modem/router and some external hard drives. I have no clue about Apple, there I said it
All the APC units have only IEC plugs available on the back, and since Apple computers don't use IEC plugs, how does one go about using the APC UPS series with Apple computers?

I noticed that Stonehead Tavern has closed down, sad really as it was a nice place to listen to some live music with Eddie and his band.
Does anyone know where they are playing now?

I have no experience myself, but I do know many students go to Starbucks and studies there. I'm not sure if you have to pay for the internet if you buy something or if it's complimentary.

Here is a cheap base i7 computer using the new Sandy Bridge (B3) motherboard: http://www.invadeit.co.th/product/desktop-pcs/invadeit/invadepc-intel-core-i7-2600-sandy-bridge-2gb-ddr3-500gb-sata3-dvd-rw-mouse-keyboard-p005317/ I'm sure you can get the parts added to make it match your wishes (2GB more RAM and a larger hard drive).
Edit: Or if you are just a normal computer user (like most people) the cheaper i5 model could be a better option at only 12,690 baht http://www.invadeit.co.th/product/desktop-pcs/invadeit/invadepc-intel-core-i5-2300-sandy-bridge-2gb-ddr3-500gb-sata3-dvd-rw-mouse-keyboard-p005316/

Why not get desktops with Atom processors (same as in the netbooks), half the price and much easier to service if parts needs changing: http://www.invadeit.co.th/product/desktop-pcs/invadeit/invadepc-intel-atom-d410-1gb-ddr2-160gb-no-os-p003247/

Bought an ASUS 330Ge portable router for this purpose at HardWare House Tuk.com a few month ago. Price 1500 Baht. Works fine.
Yeah the Asus 330ge is probably the most popular pocket size router/access point/repeater/hotspot device. http://www.invadeit.co.th/product/wireless-networking/asus/wl-330ge-world%C2%B4s-smartest-wireless-access-point-ethernet-adapter-gateway-p002762/

I don't get it, what is it you are saying that it does?
SiteA has copied content from SiteB, are you saying that this "script" will force a backlink to SiteB from SiteA? How on earth can any script change the content of a page which is not your own?

I just bought the Logitech Gaming Headset G330. --> ( http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Gaming-Headset-G330-Black/dp/B002I3OZB2 ) They were about 2,000 baht at IT City. Good sound, comfortable fit and they can use both 3.5" analog audio or full digital USB. Logitech gives a converter dongle with the headset.
Check out the link and read the reviews.
I don't know how some of the big IT shops get by with their high prices. Especially PowerBuy seems to be in a completely different world when you look at their computer hardware prices.
G330 can be bought here for 1490: http://www.invadeit.co.th/product/speakers-headsets/logitech/gaming-headset-g330-p001580/

Never ever use tables for creating layouts, that has been deprecated for almost a decade...
Use floating as already suggested.

I use a Brother myself, this model, and it's brilliant, I have worked with many wireless printers before but this one beats them all by miles when it comes to user friendliness. Setting it up is the easiest thing ever, almost easier than setting up a USB printer.

Great news, will for sure be there to watch those movies.

When you say English keyboard, do you mean English only? Because you will not find any netbooks here without the Thai letters on the keys as well.

wow very useful answers, cheers guys, will try Hua Hin first and see, if not I will have to go to MBK again it looks like

I don't think you'll find any housing projects in Hua Hin that doesn't claim to be "only five minutes to beach and town center" even though they are located absolutely in the middle of nowhere (not saying this is the case for the project in question as I have no clue where it is)
But I would second the suggestion of Skint, use google maps to pin the positions you need and see the distance between them.
