  3. Previously visitors to the UK, could not access the NHS.Now visitors to the UK, now receive a FREE covid 19 vaccination from the NHS budget.  However UK nationals who in most cases have paid over 30 year's National insurance contributions, and are still paying UK income tax, cannot receive a vaccination worth £3-4... because they are not currently residing in the UK. Some UK nationals have been offered a vaccination which has zero efficacy against the Delta variant. All I need is an Astra Zenica vaccination worth £3-4.  Is that too much to ask???

im looking to fly into Cambodia and then crossing back to Thiland via the land border crossing. Anyone know of any travel restrictions there?

Yesterday, I crossed over from Chong Chom into Thailand at 7.10am on foot... no problems..

My friends arrived 4 hours later, at Chong Chom and were informed, they could enter Cambodia,

but.. they could only re-enter Thailand by air from Siam Reap or Phnom Penh..

All of us, are on Non-O Multi Entry Visa's, Married to Thai National, and carry UK Passport...

    I was lucky..

I have just been told ( maybe rumour?) that the  Chong Chom crossing into Cambodia will allow  exit  but..... No re entry there. People are told they need  make their  way to Phnom Penh and fly back into Thailand....plus will require the  medical certificate and  health insurance !

If true perhaps same  might  apply at  any Laos crossing?

This is not rumour anymore unfortunately .... this is true...

It didn't in 2019, f.ex. Maprachan in Pattaya got very little water in during the "rainy season" and is now near empty (it has a dead capacity which can't be pumped out). Wishful thinking.

Water at our house in south Pattaya has been on/off for a couple of weeks now.

Had the same problem in Korat.. Water on/off for last few weeks..

Why in 2 months water problem will be fixed?? Divine intervention???

The way the World's weather is going, either be too much water, or none at all..

  7. A prime example of 'couldnt care less'

I walk my dog every morning, she is leashed.. I carry a stick, basically for her and my protection,

A certain individual, rides a bicycle, with his 2 dogs which are unleashed, and are a nuisance...

On one occasion, one of his dogs, growled aggressively at my dog, and was poised to pounce,

so I pointed my stick at the dog, and warned this idiot, after I battered his dog, he would be next ...

He shrugged his shoulders, and said "Mai pen rai", with that,I pulled my shoulder back, fortunately the dog backed off

    and ran home..

  8. No prosecution Koh Tao case accused Zaw Lin/Wai Phyo today, prosecutor requests 6th detention extension. Defense lawyers to oppose again

    (Tweet from Andy Hall)

Which just goes to show that the Nation's OP report is less than accurate. Whether this is good news or not, is again debatable.

A 6th extension. How long is the Prosecutor allowed in Thai law?

7 extensions of 12 days each up to a maximum of 84 days that they can be detained.

Maybe cynical... but is 84 days.. the end of the high season in Thailand??

  9. "Thailand's image as a tourist paradise has been badly damaged by the brutal murders of British holidaymakers David Miller, 24, and Hannah Witheridge, 23 earlier this month."

    Wrong.

It has been damaged by the incompetence of the investigation, the initial unwillingness to blame Thais, the harassing and beating of migrant labourers to force a confession, the publishing of pictures of the victims in the press, the crass concern over tourist numbers rather than catching the foul scum behind these murders and now this latest piece of insanity about wristbands.

The murders, as terrible as they were, could conceivably happen elsewhere, the utter travesty of an investigation that followed them is another matter. That is what has damaged Thailand's image as paradise.

    You reap what you sow.

    Bang on the money!

As the Thais say "Som nom na"
