  1. Hello everyone. :)

Sorry I missed this thread, so let me introduce myself.

I'm Malaysian living in KL. To me this is the best forum coz there's a lot of useful info here (and a great football thread too). Nice people too. Hi Miss Mig. :D

Hope to make many more new friends in years to come.

    Cheers. :D

  2. Hello to all footie fans here. :)

My name is Hazri. I'm Malaysian. I eat a lot, i smoke a lot, i sleep a lot and i drink...err... occassionally. I support Arsenal. And I support every national team that has a Gunner in it.:D

Cheers and have a nice day. :D

  3. Here i am Miss Mig. Sorry, phone line was down. Wanna watch the match together? Awww, phom yoo KL na krab.:) But if you wanna take me to Emirates, i'm all up for it.:D

Ok back to Arsenal vs Chelsea. Arsenal will go all out to close the gap, that's for sure. Interesting to see who's gonna start in the attacking dept. Arshavin injury wasn't bad, i guess he can recover in time for the match. Then there's Eduardo and Vela, provided Wenger stick to his 4-3-3. All in all, i think we're good to go.:D

  4. Well, I say it's an open market. Not every player in Arsenal is French, otherwise it would be Arsenal who played Ireland, not France. It's team building that makes it interesting. Not team buying like Chelsea few years back, or Man City as we see now.

  5. The Prof seems likely to get a new striker this January. The striker in question is 20 years old Nice striker Loic Remy. I remembered when Arshavin joined last season. It was January transfer and he made an impact almost immediately. Lets hope, if the deal is on, that Loic Remy would make the same impact if not more. :)

  6. Arsenal 2 - Standard Liege 0

    Scorers : Denilson, Nasri

Arsenal back on track it seems. Now looking forward to the derby against Chelsea. Denilson could be the man to support Fab. Wished Clichy and VP wasn't injured though. Nonetheless it will be a very exciting match i'm sure. :)

  7. Yes agree about the midfield battle, Sunderland. That' why i'm intrigued to see if Wenger would make a purchase come January. Relying solely on Fab does pose a problem. There were talks about bringing Vieira back in pre-season. But Wenger changed his mind then. So I'm waiting to see if he'll bring in an experienced midfielder to support Fab. Coz Rosicky is not 100% fit yet, IMO. Just my 2cents. :)

  8. Thanx Hammer. Really appreciate it :).

A bit about January transfer window, with VP out for about 6 weeks, and Vela and Eduardo firing blanks against Sunderland, i wonder if The Prof would consider bringing in a more efficient fire power in case VP injured again (knock wood). And with the African Cup looming near, he'll lose some key players to international duties too, namely Sagna and Eboue. I guess he waits to see the result against Chelsea.

  9. HappyHammer, i think i owe you an apology. Maybe i've rushed myself to make some comments without understanding the whole situation. That sometimes happen when i talk about football. I offer my apologies. I'm here to make new friends, not otherwise. Peace :)

  10. Yes Mr Toad. I agree about some of the flip-flop support from SEA fans. But you will also come across one-club fans (myself incuded) :). True, some of us has never set foot in the stadium, but the support is real. My dream is to be able to watch at least 1 Arsenal game at Emirates stadium. Missed during Highbury days. Anybody got extra tickets? :D

  11. Well, let them say what they want Miss Mig. I'm sure they'll get tired some day. They should realise that the world market is as important as the local market. TV rights, merchandise etc. How much can a club earn if it doesn't have international supporters?

  12. I understand how you feel Dave. I would feel the same way if other managers make the same comments about Arsenal. I guess he was just being a protective father figure when it comes to his boys. Just my 2baht. :)

  13. Well Dave, the key players did play against Sunderland, but most of them as subs. The Prof is always critical of teams or players who are too robust. Remember what he said about the player who broke Eduardo's ankle? Well, that's Wenger. But you have to understand his concern. He got a Champions League next and Chelsea after that. And VP is out. I'm not saying Sunderland didn't deserve to win. It's just that The Prof is human after all. :)

  14. but Id rather be the lone Arsenal supporter and continue talking to myself for the next 4 years :D

Miss Mig, we're in this together, no? Through thick and thin, Arsenal forever. :)

  15. I thought I read The Prof would walk if that guy gains control?

I hope it's just a rumor. There's gonna be a lot of unhappy supporters (myself included) if the The Prof leave the club. I hope the new owner will take that into consideration.

  16. Here's hoping :) . But to tell you the truth i always enjoyed watching Arsenal play MU. Can't remember a dull moment when watching them play each other. Hope the new owner won't give The Prof a hard time though.
