    corruption from very top to very bottom is a way of life in LOS: some time ago, having visa on arrival status: in one year period I came to Thailand 5 times and the airport passport controller extorted 1000baht or he would not allow me in because he insisted I needed a visa after 4 arrivals per year. LAter contacted Thai embassy and was told visa was not required..
