Your post was insinuating that the UK were not taking appropriate precautions in order to control the spread, completely incorrect. If you have nieces in the NHS you should know your comments were nonsense. You are drawing conclusions from a brief shot in the press and nothing more. It was a pointless post. I was hardly that rude, just think before you post such things.
So calling someone you don't know an imbecile for simply posting an observation is not rude? OK.

Yes we applauded the nurses, however we didn't all congregate in the streets, gather into crowds to do it. Imbecile!
No need to be rude - I was not moaning about applauding the nurses - I have a sister in law and nieces working in the NHS. I was commenting about what I saw on BBC World News footage where there were crowds of people outside, many without masks and very few practicing effective social distancing - the camera's don't lie. You were obviously not in the area that was shown on the news. If you want a good read on this then go to: https://medium.com/@tomaspueyo/coronavirus-the-hammer-and-the-dance-be9337092b56

Yes, my nieces husband keeps them - they are strung up all around the house.
Burma Bill? Are you still in Myanmar? I got out last week whilst I still could.

There is another thread discussing the coronavirus treatment costs, 30000 baht per day seems to be the maximum for ICU room. That probably doesn't include doctors' fees.
So I might get 3 days in ICU? Seems a bit pointless buying such insurance then?

In an earlier statement they said up to 300,000 people could get infected if the government did nothing. That is only .5% of Thailand's population. That means if the government did nothing and life went on as normal you would have a 99.5% chance of not getting infected. And the figures in this article are way lower than that.
Unbelievable.

I have just looked at the Roojai ad for COVID-19 medical insurance. The cover for medical treatment seems to be for 100,000 baht maximum for the year.
Serious question: How much time on a ventilator in ICU would that actually buy?

Brown envelopes? So much for social distancing - i'd wager the masks came off as soon as the photo op finished. Is he the fella at the back standing between the two whities?

Many people just not grasping the seriousness of the situation. Just watching Sky News - In the UK police are stopping cars and getting close to unwound windows - no masks or protective gear. Hundred's of people on the streets applauding the nurses (which is commendable) but not many masks and very little social distancing. Unbelievable.

Find a fall guy and transfer him to an inactive post - no matter how many deaths have resulted - truly nauseating. Be careful karma doesn't kick in and covid-19 also gets transferred to army HQ.

Infections will skyrocket without social distancing, says official

I did not say that 95% of people (or any % of people) were not grasping the situation - I said many. I saw UK Police stopping cars without any masks or due care for social distancing. I also saw people on the streets doing the same. I did not say it was 95% or even 5% of people. I made an observation and commented on it, nothing wrong with that. Good night and stay safe.
