Unemployment is at it lowest in years, these people want to work at a job that lets them sleep late, do a few hours work for a large pay, now they are waking up in the real world these guys are not as bad off as some people make them sound, yes they will have to work hard in farms, in factories and lots of other places but there is work out there for them... Just not what they were used to..

Since you are married then you can just turn up without an appointment since you are a EEU citizen, and a new ruling is you do not have to pay for your wife.
Not sure on your kid/s but you must get insurance as part of the application for 30K Euros which premiums will be refunded if you do not get your visa.
All insurance companies have to follow their rules.
And you must apply in the country you plan to visit first, together with a booking for a hotel and an address.

Even a fan too help them keep cool! Great.
They have a fan to keep them cool it is in the pic, however it looks like it is a large enough house, garden to let them loose on the outside.

Why in applying for a Marriage Non Imm O visa do you have to apply for a Non Imm O single entry outside the country. If you are on a Tourist Visa (UK) why can you not get a Non Imm O without leaving the country after we are married?- 4

What if the Farang does not have a job in Thailand and so no work permit? He is working overseas is it a non starter then?

On the money transfer, never do it through your bank, the rates are crap and yes if you do it thro a bank send it in GBP you will not really know the rate you will get until it arrives but it is always better than the banks in UK.
I move my money with Currency Solutions, also other companies are thefxfirm currency fair lots of the them and they are always better than the banks.
Let me know how you get on the visa I am married and going for a Non Imm O when I get back home to Thailand

I find these Daily Trolls amazing the never cease to bring s mile to my face
Yes BKK is getting terrible expensive, even the public transportation went up by 1 baht last year how unfair is that!!!!
I blame Obama since most of the rest of the world does why not Thailand!!!!

I find http://www.currencysolutions.co.uk/converter the best, although you have to shift 10K GBP to be transfer fee free.

Better to get a translation Service near the MFA we used a guy that met us gave him the paperwork and it was all returned to us with all the stamps needed for 1200 Baht, i have heard about being 300 baht but you still have to go to the MFA this was trouble free.
Call me if you need details.

After recently went to Bang Rak and got married.
You need 2 copies of everything.
Letter from the embassy that has been translated and verified by the MFA that you are free to marry
GF Blue book
GF ID
Your passport with your latest pages of your visa status
Any witnesses ID
Any other ID may help
Costswise it is not much about 300 I think but the Wife Paid it.
Best only to go to Bang Rak as other Ampurs shy away from marrying a Farang.

as with all investments it is good to have a diversified portfolio, between equities, rental properties, managed funds and hard cash.
due to your age 59, if any investment does recover you money in 15 years it is only an investment for your wife not for you.
for renting a house 35k gets you a 3 bedroom house no private pool but a good public pool and good security (see SP 5 in Pattaya)
use ddproperty.com for location
Bangkok is out due to prices but as you see Hua Hin is nicer for older people, Pattaya is noisy but lots of choices of expat food. But also look at Pathum Thani, handy for Bangkok and Udon Thani nice for the wife with her Issan culture.
Electric 3k no air con culture 6K if you like air cons 500 to 1K for water
Internet 600b TV 600 to 2500 VPN account 150b
access to money from abroad use currency exchanger like currency solutions free movement above £10k but there are lots out there avoid using banks of any kind. ATMs use Aeon only see another thread but only as a last resort.
most private hospital are good bumingrad is very pricy

Alex Salmond will negotiate the term of the separation if the YES is won since The Scottish Government will still be in charge, yes there will be elections later but not at the same time so a vote for YES is Vote for Salmond's policies cannot really change them after agreement.
Most Expat here will not have a vote but 16 year old weans will as will English people living in Scotland.

The question is whether she should apply as a domestic worker or as a general visitor.
A domestic worker visa application currently costs £278, whereas a general visitor visa costs £80. (Subject to Parliamentary approval, these fees will be going up w.e.f. 6th April 2014; see here.)
But, a general visitor is not allowed to work in any capacity whilst in the UK, even unpaid.
If she applies as a general visitor and in her application she says she is your children's nanny and will continue in that capacity in the UK; the visa will be refused.
If she applies for a general visitor visa and doesn't say this, she will be guilty of attempting to obtain, or if she got the visa then obtaining, a visa by deception. If it was later discovered that she was your employee and continued as such whilst in the UK then she could be banned from visiting the UK for 10 years; possibly for life.
You may also suffer serious consequences for aiding and abetting her.
So my advice is to do it properly and she applies for a domestic worker visa.
ideal advice follow the procedures for your circumstance it is ideal

Daiken is by far the best brand for Air Con they don't do anything else and all the competition follow them yes they are more expensive but you get what you pay for, now as for Invertor you should get one this is the modern technology and as for size just the smallest you can get, but also just get a fan they are just as good and alot cheaper lol
I have had several AC over the years in Thailand Hitachi and Daiken

Brasso,
Best way to get from the British Embassy is taking a taxi using the Tollway getting on at Suk 1 make sure on the main road not the one just outside the embassy. By the time you have finished at the embassy and the translation it should be around 10 am so traffic will be lighter get off the Tollway at Chaeng Watthana junction 18.
Sent from my iPad using ThaiVisa app
How much do I need to retire in Thailand with a fairly high standard of living
