Paperwork is clogging up government departments in Thailand

What also works well is a couple of copies that might be a little bit not so clear and keep a a couple of really good copies in you own file. When you are asked to get better copies and come back later look slightly confused and then say, oh I might have better ones here and hand them over. Works well. -

Expat friend, retired now, ran a fabrication company here. At one point he secured a really good 2 year contract and all the workers had the chance to get a good few hours OT each month. Within three or four weeks the car park was filling up with new pick-ups. At the end of that contract everybody was back to normal hours. Within 3 months most of the pick-ups were being handed back to the finance companies. The workers were ok with that, it was in their opinion normal.

Lots of people say that religion has caused more deaths, more wars etc than anything else. If we didn't have any religions what would people kill each other over?? -

Re weed in the food I did say 'if' that's true. Something that was pointed out to me about eating street food and the possible downsides was about the number of dogs on the streets and the obvious 'solids' they leave lying around. Those do dry up and add to the dust, diesel and gasoline fumes plus whatever else is floating around you while you eat and admire the traffic jams.

Of course I know that. You've still got to pay for the land on top of the 40. The problem is that as yet it's not clear what's going to happen after 3 years. The land you can buy will be in selected areas and if you decide after 3 years to 'withdraw' your investment will you still be able to hold onto the land? Too many unanswered questions and always the chance the rules will change after a few years.
