  1. Just my 2 cents. I got my MJ a few years ago in the US along with another 5 years of subscription for $69.95. I think in November last year they emailed me to get the new one ($49.95, I think), with another 5 years added for $69.95 and they gave me 4 days to consider it. I hate their customer support but after the live chat and said what about the almost 3 years left on my old MJ, I do not need both? They said sorry, but the old subscription will not apply to the new one but would stay with the old one. So I would kinda lose those other 3 years not needing the old MJ. Declined the new MJ offer and will use the old one until Nov 2014 and thought it was poor support for a long term customer.

  2. Went to the pizza place and met the nice American woman behind the counter. Ordered a large "meat lovers" to take home and was suprised how good it was considering all ingredients were bought local. No peperoni but had something that tasted like it. Wife's family tried pizza for the 1st time and liked it. Highly recommend and will get another later.

  3. Been here visiting many years and of course wife's lives near Phayao, and their favorite place to eat in Phayao is that noodle place, do not know name, that always was busy in downtown Phayao. Went there today and they have closed up. I think some famous guy owned it and wonder what happened for why it closed. Still had stuff in in but wife said not going to be opened anymore. Anyone know why?

  4. Thanks, guys. A lot of the purifiers in the states do not meet good standards and very expensive for those that do. Need to find something anyway just for the bedroom where I hang out.

  5. Ariving in a couple of days with wife's greatgrandaughter who is just over 2 years old. Very concerned now about her health due to the bad air quality in Phayao and area. 2 questions.

    1. We got masks but wondering if anyone is using any air purifiers there for their home?

    2. Also, what would be a good brand and where to buy in Chiangrai?

    Appreciate any comments.

  6. Not much time to do a lot of homework before going to Thailand from the US next week. I would appreciate some good VPN services in the US that I might investigate and talk to them that you use and get used to. Thank you.

  7. Family are going to meet us at the airport later this month and the plan is to have a picnic before we head to Phayao. I was wondering if there are power outlets or wifi at this location or at any other parks that have these conviences.

  8. Some companies like HP do have a partion to do a come from factory condition. Includes desktops. Easy way of checking on bootup, keep tapping on a F key, HP is usually F11, and you will come up to a screen with different options and one is to completely reinstall windows. However, any important files/programs you have on now not included in the factory installion will not be saved and should be backed up if you want to keep them. Process takes about 25-20 minutes. Then do your window updates, drivers from the computer's website, and you got a clean install. F2, F5, F8, F11 are usually used for action to do prior to boot up. Also when you you install again, 1st thing you should do is create back up disks and a repair disk from the control panel/system maintence/back up computer and then can be used to reinstall windows should the hard drive fails and no access to the recovery partition.

  9. While I prefer high quality expensive "toys", never bought an Apple product just because to do anything with an Apple product, you have to buy THEIR accesories, use THEIR Itunes, THEIR connections, etc. And pay a premium price. Their IPAD is the best but no flash support. But you can thank the developers for their apps to make Apple to do so much. Maybe also I do not like Apple because I had 3000 shares of them for a long time at 18, got out and up they went. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

  10. Disappointed in my Blackberry Tablet. Maybe it will be better with the new 2.0 and will give it to a family member there or sell it to a Blackberry phone user. Always been suspicious of the quality build of Chinese builders but with these cheap tablets on the other side of the boarder, they are getting some good attention in other countries. I thought showing the device at CES was a big step in getting some credibility.

  11. My bad with the wording. Because I have not experienced the way things are over there yet with visas, extensions, etc. I guess that means since I will not need a visa requirement, then I do not to have to go there and ask questions about moving there, Like a Thai consulate would.
