That's the same with my subscription but the app is shiiite. On Safari it is ok, but that is only possible on a laptop of Desk unit.

Flawless & Smoothstreams work in Australia? Might get it for my Dad.

Smooth streams have servers in Asia, Europe and the US so probably yes.

Flawless I'm not sure about, but I think I've seen people post that they use it there.

  2. Maybe of interest...

It seems Youtube are now offering a streaming service, 40 channels for $35 a month.

Only available in select US markets, but who knows?

Video site has programming deals with NBCU, Disney-ABC, Fox Networks and CBS

Google has a new pitch for younger consumers disenchanted with cable and satellite TV: YouTube TV, a new “skinny” bundle of about 40 TV channels including ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC and ESPN, priced at $35 per month.

The move, which has been expected, makes Google and YouTube the latest players to take the over-the-top field, as providers see a big opportunity to sell cheaper, multiscreen internet-delivered TV as alternatives to traditional pay-TV services.

The TV programming will be accessible both live and on-demand — and with no DVR recording restrictions. The subscription includes six accounts for $35 per month, with each profile getting its own recommendations and other personalized settings. However, subscribers are allowed to watch only up to three concurrent streams at once.

  3. I get BeIn Connect as part of my subscription, but I rarely use it because it's unreliable. It's also geoblocked to the BeIn region, so I don't think the Thai one would be the same, as BeIn only have Premiership rights there AFAIK.

For Flawless I have their full package and multiroom (which means two streams simultaneously) which is 90 quid a year.

Smoothstreams is just all sport, and $36 a quarter if I remember correctly.

Blackcab drivers in London aren't too fond of Uber either!

I shared a minicab from Central London (the company my office used), and they asked me if I minded sharing with an American tourist. I said of course not as long as I get the receipt

Chatting to him on the way down, he couldn't believe the fare, since he'd paid three times that to come in using a Black Cab from Heathrow.

I asked him which way he came, and he said he didn't know apart from they went past a few lakes and Windsor Castle.

So don't think London cabbies are immune to ripping people off.

just one more is needed for internal.  Was not meant to be as beligerant as it may appear.  From an earlier comment I'm trying to work out if you suggest getting 2 routers, 1 being  a modem router to replace the isp one?

No, the ISP router is normally OK with ethernet, as that's usually far more than adequate for whatever bandwidth you're getting off them.

Just an internal router to manage and secure your internal network, so that everything is hidden from your ISP.

Most of these ISP modem routers are old, cheap and mostly insecure (and insecurable).

I'm stuck with a Huawei 8245 which is frankly a load of rubbish.
