Just say you were taken ill on the flight & the flight had to be diverted to get you medical attention, the cost involved would be tremendous and it you who will be paying ????

Sorry but that's why I only use a main dealer, even if it means a day out or two.????
Forgot to add, they needed your head gasket for a friend.

It's quite sad to hear from people that their home country, the U.K. Is a <deleted>hole. So many refer to it this way. I'm glad I come from a different country, I have no reason to escape, perhaps for the winters, but that's all. And happy to return to a great place to live.
so sad to hear the negativity about the UK all the time.
It all depends where in the UK you live, same for Thailand I am quite happy here been so for the last 15 years but I am surrounded by fields not cars, UK was the same fields not traffic.

Don't forget to make a deposit into the account before updating your bankbook on the same day you go for your extension.
This was a requirement for me at Jomtien

Due to go to Jomtien immigration to prove 800,000 still in the bank, anymore paperwork required more than a deposit into the account the same day & book updated
Thanks

So far, the punishment sounds like an 800 baht fine. I can live with that once a year if it means not having to traipse all the way to immigration and sit around in their crowded office for a multitude of hours waiting to see some halfwit paper pusher. Perhaps I will get lucky like the previous 11 or 12 years and nothing will be said.
Bye now, got to put my head back in a hole.
But more than likey you will hand in your documents and 1900 baht for your extension and it will be refused until you pay the fine lets say 1000 baht, then you have to submit all your documents again plus another 1900 baht because on the form it says if extension refused 1900 baht none refundable so that adds up to 4800 baht

It's being rolled out this year, I believe.
Its all to do with the EU Garbage
The Payment Services Directive 2 (or PSD2 for short) is a piece of European Union (EU) legislation that aims to make banking safer, more transparent and innovative. The legislation includes Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), which requires you to confirm it's you when you pay for things or service your account online. PINsentry is one of the options to help verify your identity, giving you greater security and peace of min

Just ordered a GiffGaff SIM online, just in case I need one.
We'll see if I can activate it and use it for Barclays Online Banking once it arrives - if it doesn't disappear into the black hole of the Thailand postal system!
This is what the Giffgaff SIM came in to the UK address I use.
Very inviting envelope in the Thai post.

My Barclays Online Banking needs the usual account name and password plus a one-time code that is generated either by a 'Pin Sentry' card reader or by a virtual 'Pin Sentry' that is part of the Barclays mobile app, which works just fine with a Thai SIM at the moment.
I've not had any notification from Barclays that anything is about to change but I guess that it might do. Seems crazy to me that I would maybe need a UK SIM in order to use International Online Banking from Thailand. I appreciate the need for security but it all gets quite silly when the system is so secure that it's almost impossible to use.
The current Barclays system works OK but you do need to be quite a fast typist as the time allowed to input the code generated by the 'Pin Sentry' is rather short. Sometimes takes me several attempts!
From Barclaycard email, could be just the credit card and not the banking, but my Santander bank only wants a UK number
Check your mobile number’s up to date It’s important that we have your correct UK phone number, so you can confirm it’s you when you’re shopping online. You can check your number through Barclaycard online servicing, the Barclaycard app or by calling 0800 151 0900. -

Thanks,
That's virtually the same colour as mine.
What colour is your new one called? I think it's great and I think I may use the same.
Sorry to be a pain in the ass,
No problem
The colour I made from white grey and brown roof paint it was just a case of mix a little first to see what colour comes out, or they might be one on the colour charts that you like

Out of curiosity how do you make the £10 top-up? I found myself unable to use my UK credit card for this purpose since this required me to enter a UK postcode which I was unable to do since the billing address was my Thai one. So having no other means of executing top-ups I had no option other than to chuck my O2 SIM card once the balance on it had run out.
On the Giffgaff site they say to top up you can use paypal

Mine went the same way, I looked at the options and decided to fill the cracks with Sista D150 and paint it with water based roof paint.
Been fine ever since
