There is a big hotel where a lot of German speaking falangs go once or twice  a month maybe a couple of English speaking ones. They also have a buffet, if your interested ill find out more info for you. But if you want falang bar stay South or Chang mai.

Take the train to the airport and get a taxi from there.make sure you have the fishing park on Google maps as many taxi drivers won't have a clue.

Just fly to a neighbour country to thailand and get your visa there, much easier and less stressful.
