Thai AirAsia Shifts Nine Routes to Don Mueang

It doesn’t help that they won’t reduce their prices and just want to enhance customer service. I see that’s going well for them.

I definitely won’t be using them and now I feel bad for those people who booked and have to go to Don Muang airport. So much for customer service.

Isn't the latter reducing flight capacity counter to dealing with higher fuel costs? It's like reducing store hours by 30% to counter higher electricity costs. Maybe look to increase passenger bookings.

Only two months. This was how Air Asia operated before Wuhan flu.

Flying in and flying domestically, Chiang Mai, Krabi should be fine. Flying in and flying home, Europe, N. America, yep, taxi/bus to Swampy.

There is no customer service from them. Last month I booked Roi Et to DMK, paid at Lotus, got receipt. And then - nothing. No confirmation, and then a reminder to pay before the 24-hour deadline.

Contacted AA via their Bot, spent an hour going in circles and providing the same info over and over again, including sending a photo of the receipt as asked for, over and over again. It was as if they had no clue about the thread that had developed. Eventually given a case number. Meanwhile, the booking was cancelled due to the imaginary non-payment.

Two weeks after I paid, and after two or three emails saying we're working on it, I received an email confirming the booking, same booking number, same flights. I wrote back asking what the problem had been and was told the case was closed. No explanation, no apology. Nothing.

We can all suffer transfer airports for a few hours. But a 15-hour flight, immigration for a couple of hours, then provide our own transport to DMK, often taking two hours or more. Land of smiles, ej.

With respect, THAI Airways, Bangkok Airways and VietJet operate connecting domestic flights to Thai destinations from International flights at BKK.

No need to travel to DMK unless your destination is a secondary airport such as Loei which is only served by Thai Air Asia from DMK.

The flight to Buriram was always from DMK from my experience never from BKK, same as Nokair.

Yes, you can fly directly from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) to Buriram Airport (BFV). The flight takes about 1 hour and 5 minutes.

Flight Details

• Airlines: Thai AirAsia operates direct, non-stop flights on this route. (not currrently because cancelled as listed)

Budget airline NokAir has its hub at DMK, never at BKK.

Yet, just down the road in Vietnam, they are experiencing record tourism.
