How weak society has become

Featured Replies

Not just a young person thing as evidenced by the folks here. This "rules for thee but not for me" mindset has really trickled down worldwide thanks to Obama & Co.

Folks nowadays want to cut corners, work less, shorter hours and fewer days per week and spend their spare time gazing at a cellphone staring at lame short videos and one upping others on the internet in an attempt to save their shamed egos, such a mental waste of lack of self worth and dignity.

And then there are those who work long days and weeks and retain self worth in-spite of how successful they are.

The actual 18-30 year old generation loves to scream on climate change but are usually those very people who are annoying and making a nuisance in planes with their 3 kids, arriving late and walking up and down the cabin thinking they own the place. And then when back home they give out on cheap airfares and call for more taxes on oil and plane tickets.

Y'all must travel in different circles than myself. Most of my family, friends & peers, worked hard and strived to excel the best we could, and hopefully reap the rewards.

Same with the 2nd and 3rd (damn I'm old) generation as same morals & work ethics were instilled in them. And my generation, we be poor folks back then, and it took some effort, but well worth it.

It is striking how much more manly, hard working and capable of bearing heavy loads older generations were compared to newer generations.

Of course on the flip side the new generations are far smarter, and better informed.

My grandfather built his own garage. Foundations, walls, roof, everything. It's unthinkable a young person today would do that. Before him of course, there were real warriors. Not Call of Duty warriors. Real ones.
