SAT assures Thai fans will be able to watch FIFA World Cup final

The Sports Authority of Thailand has given an assurance that Thai soccer fans will be able to watch live broadcast of the World Cup final in Russia.

SAT governor Sakon Wannapong said on Thursday (Nov 9) that TV Pool had been assigned to negotiate with the concession right owner for Asia, Infront Sports & Media, for the live broadcast of the World Cup’s soccer matches in Thailand after no private sector was willing to negotiate for the broadcasting right due to the “Must Have” rule imposed by the National Broadcasting and

Telecommunications Commission.

Under the “Must Have” condition, digital channels must broadcast free to audience on seven programmes, including FIFA World Cup.
