Drugs were fake, Pattaya arrest was not

A 40-year-old man was arrested in Pattaya early Monday morning for selling drugs to tourists – though it turned out that the ecstasy and marijuana he was peddling were fake.

 

Wilas Thongchaem, 40, was arrested on Walking Street in South Pattaya at 4am, allegedly in possession of eight fake ecstasy pills and a bag of fake marijuana.

 

Wilas said he sold the “drugs” to earn money for his family.

 

The ecstasy was a cough medicine and the marijuana a mix of tobacco and almond leaves, plus some actual marijuana to make it smell convincing.

Continue to sell this fake drugs to tourist but please take the tourist too and send them back home and ban them from Thailand

If it contained "actual marijuana to make it smell convincing", its not fake , its actual marijuana

Yes, it's not the amphetamine pills rampantly trafficked here.  

Couldn't find 'money' listed under drugs online.
