duan
I’m traveling up from Hua Hin to meet an old friend visiting Thailand for the first time for lunch next week and would be very grateful for any recommendations for a reasonably priced place within walking distance of the Athenee hotel where he and his wife are staying. All suggestions greatly appreciated.
TimBKK
Maybe the Coffee Club, opposite side of Wireless towards the American embassy, 5 minute walk from the Athenee. I think its an Australian chain. There are street food options on Wireless too, some really good, but very busy at lunch.
bubba45
Go out the Athenee hotel to the left. Just past the Vietnamese Embassy there is a huge office building with a mall on the first couple of floors. On Google maps it is called All Seasons Place Shopping Mall. Lots of options in there, from fast food to nicer dining. But beware many of those places are slammed during business lunch hour. You might want to plan a little later lunch (say 1300 or later). Take a walk through there before and check it out.
Monkeyrobot
Any of the restaurants in Central Embassy are good , a wide selection on the upper floors. The Athenee also has a buffet lunch.
Just Weird
Try The Athenee, no walking distance at all!

More upscale than typical food Court fare

Hotel concierge can point out direction. 5 min from hotel.
tpkhk
If Thai, try Baan Glom Gig (you can google it). Good value for money and within walking distance of the Athenee. For Spanish - Islero (could be pricey). Soi Ruamrudee has a bunch of restaurants.... Hyde and Seek Gastro Bar.
smokie36
For good Mexican try la Monita in Mahatun Plaza. For Thai walk to the end of Wireless Rd and turn left and just past Langsuan on the left is a food court with good options...if you walk inside past the shops is a Thai restaurant as well with aircon and good food.
