DTAC

In 2 months, I have received around 30 SMS, charged 5 Baht per message.

I went to DTAC shop at Big C South Pattaya to complain, the staff dialed on my phone *137 and told me that I will not received anymore annoying SMS.

3 days later, SMS again and yesterday one SMS charged 10 Baht.

I decided to stop my prepaid DTAC and went to True at Tesco Thepprasit.

True kept the same number and now it's working.

Bye bye DTAC.

I have had the same problem with True. The first month nothing, then I was getting up to 10 messages a day all taking 5 baht at a time. But thankfully after calling them and telling them to cancel the number its down to 2 or 3 a week.

The <deleted>is not knowing how the service works. If you had the app or website open to your plan and checked “usage”. There is an opt out of “media” I think it’s referred to as. Tick the box and unsolicited messages stop coming.
For others the first time an advertisement text comes go to this area and do the above as it easier than changing carriers in my opinion.

MrJ had the same problem ... quite a hefty bill ...went to DTAC and explained the problem ... they did something and also refunded the excess amount...it happened the next month and she complained again ... refunded and now no more problems.
