Big Joke busy again! Busting fake guides and a scammer with a rip off TAT course

Crime buster Surachet Hakpal was the main man as a 56 year old Thai called Sanguan "Daeng" Netsao was arrested by his tourist police bureau comrades on Saturday.

"Daeng" was found in possession of fake guide documentation, fake educational diplomas and fake driving licenses among other evidence.

The case came to light after a woman called Ketsa Dalek was arrested at Suvarnabhumi Airport on March 19th with fake guide ID.

This led to Daeng who had offered her and others a whole course pretending that it was under the auspices of the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

But it was just a sham.

Those that "passed" had to pay 20,000 for the course but some who failed the course were fleeced of up to 200,000 baht that Daeng said was under the table money to be paid to officials.

He was arrested on a warrant for fraud and making fake documents issued by the Samut Prakarn court.

Surachet - known in the Thai media as Big Joke - is the deputy commissioner of the tourist police bureau and has been busting everyone from romance scammers to call center gangs in recent months.

The other week he was seen on national TV in the Sanam Luang area of Bangkok busting fake guides.

Details of the latest case were on the TPB website along with many other officers who worked on the case.

Certain scammers are obviously being protected by someone high up the chain.

The scammers you mention have been at it for years, yet nothing is done about it.

He probably also was dressed in a fake Lacoste polo shirt and wore fake Levis jeans, fake Nike sneakers, fake Calvin Klein briefs and a fake Rolex wristwatch. He possibly was running fake Windows 95 software on his Chinese knock-off notebook, while his wallet could've contained  a couple of fake Viagra pills After his arrest he might have tried to placate the officers with a fake smile and by performing a fake "graab" at their feet. The only thing genuine about him was... well... him; and even about that Surachet and his team of crime busters might not have been too sure.

Let's just say, the sentence wasn't organized especially well in grammatical terms.

The "his" is normally going to refer back to the closest prior "him", which in this sentence is Daeng the alleged scammer, not Hakpal. Hence the inference that the scammer is a policeman who was arrested by his police comrades, which apparently is NOT the case, notwithstanding quoted sentence.

He must be bucking for the big national police chief job, in which case, all the "dark skinned" people had better watch out!!!
