I now just look at it from a health perspective, soccer will give the fitness, but not the concussions and impact injuries so he will be better off in his later years. I don't necessarily think soccer is weak (need to be incredibly fit), I just cannot for the life of me understand why they do the dives. I couldn't feel comfortable doing that, so it becomes more like entertainment (similar to WWE wrestling) to me than actual competition.
