You can apply for the non-o at immigration as you were informed in that topic. The best locations to get a single entry non-o for being 50 or over is Savannakhet Laos and Penang Malaysia. If using the money in the bank option you will need a copies your Thai bank book showing 800k baht on the date you apply and proof you are retired. How to proof that i´m retired, if over 50 and "money in bank" route, but not any pension income ? <off topic comment removed> Well, i could show some pictures of myself, in a hammok, "not working" . . . ? Most people have used a income letter from their embassy or consulate to prove a small amount of income. Other have done a statement, affidavit or a stat declaration that they are retired at their embassy. About anything with a embassy stamp on it would be accepted.
