"Sack them!" PM's call to Big Joke in Chinese visa bribe scandal

"Tourism and sports minister Weerasak Kowsurat intimated that the paying of bribes at the airport was ingrained behavior. "

Wasn't the stamping out of corruption a main reason given for the coup? Are they now admitting that nothing has changed in the 4 years since?

The PM also warned people against sharing damaging videos.

He says he wants the corrupt officials dealt with but doesn't want to expose them? The best way to convict is through "damaging videos". Or else he simply wants to condemn a few unpopular scapegoats and just hide the problem better than before and claim that it has been dealt with, which is more likely since it is standard procedure here.

The security guard should not be sacked.

They gave him a job to do but failed to train him to do so.

The Chinese guy denied entry & refused to stay in the detention area should have been taken to the ground, handcuffed & escorted to where they wanted him.

Why all this grovelling ?

On the bribes issue it is a "big joke". All of a sudden they know about it.

Facilitation fees are being charged by nearly all Government Departments.

How about "Big Joke" for Commissioner of Police ? Now that is exactly why they

stuck him in Immigration as would cost them millions a month
