Well obviously didn't try that hard, i had no problem booking three rooms and my friends all got rooms.

and yes they are honouring the bookings that we made .

negative people should just shut up !

Tried very hard. Started searchIng late March. Agoda, AirBnb and calling hotels directly. Nothiing within 100 km of circuit.

When and where did you book your hotel?

i booked in the city center, while i was in Buriram for the GP winter practice, family did it for me and i have already booked for next year.

it shows no booking available on some websites but when you walk in the hotels were happy to take reservations.

so it aint really that hard.

Up in Buriram in a couple of weeks so I'll give it a try. Have the dates for next year been confirmed yet?

Can you name the hotel?

no i can't as i cant read Thai writing and the invoice is in Thai.

and as i did my own legwork i believe you can do your own.

it is simple

step 1 - look for any bloody hotel.

step 2 - walk in and ask person behind desk if they have room.

step 3 = go get significant other to ask same person same question.

step 4 - make booking and give them money.

step 5 - if no room available walk to next hotel and repeat process.

easy innit !

p.s. the cheaper/Thai style hotels the the writing is all in Thai are your best bet.

It would be nice to know the hotel to be sure that I don't book the same hotel as you.

Not likely to happen though as I don't stay in cheap flop houses.

Thanks for your help.

Gee whiz i am so happy to be able to offer assistance.

but if you are looking for high end stuff, a lot of it has gone as the corporate and teams are booking out entire hotels.

maybe safer to watch it on tv.

Well if you really want to offer assistance and not being sarky (are you an Aussie?) I really need to know if the dates have been confirmed for next years GP.

I'm going up to Buriram in a couple of weeks with my mate who was originally going to come over specifically for the GP. He now has a penfriend in Buriram and wants to go up and meet her. Would be handy to shop around for a hotel but really need exact dates.

GOOGLE !

the dates ATM are for a provisional calendar.

seriously, you can find time to post smart arse replies but cannot do you own research .

are you Americant ?

I'm giving smart arsed replies? Wouldn't it have been easier to post the provisional dates rather than come out with yet another smart arsed reply?

BTW. I'm a Brit and have several Aussie friends both here in Thailand and in Australia. I get their deprecating sense of humour, they usually refer to me as "Ya Pommie pooftah". Your sense of humour...not so much.
