MARITAL DISPUTE: Wife hacks husband’s genitals over suspected infidelity

NONTHABURI: -- A man was rushed to a Nonthaburi hospital after his wife almost cut off his genitals in rage at his marital cheating, neighbours and hospital workers said yesterday.

Preecha Nasomyon, 31, was admitted with massive loss of blood and scheduled for penile reattachment at Kasemrat Rattanathibet Hospital.

One of the neighbours said a violent quarrel had ended not long before Preecha cried for help.

The neighbour rushed to Preecha’s rented room and found the victim with a blood-soaked groin. He called an ambulance.

The wounded man was moved first from a hospital in Nonthaburi’s Pak Kret district and then from Jalaprathan Hospital before receiving treatment because the first two hospitals did not have facilities to reattach the almost-severed penis.

Hospital workers, speaking on condition of anonymity, quoted Preecha as saying that his angry wife had sneaked up on him from behind but he had managed to stop her before she completely succeeded in her grisly attack.

He told the workers that he did not want to press charges against her.

Another myth is that Thai surgeons can sow it back on as good as new. The last case I recall from the Post was a Thai soldier who had had a successful re-attachment operation but couldn't use it for urination or sex. In the photo he looked extremely unhappy.

many men on this site do have the kind of attitude that you accurately describe,and many an even worse attitude and please feel free and welcome to raise your complaint with those individuals that you so accuse.

but not all men are as you describe. there are many men who post on this site that have great respect for the joys (both cerebral and physical) that the long term companionship of a good woman can bring and do what they can to nurture those relationships.

you should start a thread and try to find out where that hatred comes from, if indeed it is hatred.

Facts should be always reported, to report facts makes a forum serious....

Why not to report such crimes? Why to remain silent? Only because out of the reason such crimes are committed by women? If you report sex-crimes of men, then does it mean, you are offensive, and degrading Thai men? Are you a men-hater because of that?

A funny way is this, Polly and Basher you are using, to justify dangerous crimes and to ask not to report them, solely out of the reason that the criminal is a woman.....is a knife less dangerous in a hand of a woman, who is out of her mind?

Offensive or not, not only Thai men, but also Thai women have some reputation of dangerous violence, just look at the prison inmate statistics in Thailand....

Polly sounds like you are the one with the hate complex. Yes there are lots of losers with paid GFs here, but many of us are settled here, married to Thais and have families.

You display, however, a rather stereo-typical western female resentment which is probably more about dislike of beautiful Thai women than Western men.

It's not that we (Western men) don't like Western women or that we think 'they're all fat'(well compared to the average petite Thai woman..but never mind that), it is that we love Thai women. It's not just their size and physical beauty. Sorry if that offends you.

How many boring BBC or ITV Travel stories have I seen about Northern European and American women 'off to Italy or Greece for a shagfest with those hunky, swarthy..yada, yada..'

As for poligamy, it has been a Thai passtime here (for Thais more than farang) since the days of Rama V, and that's why we cringe when we see a story about a guy getting his pecker chopped off. I also cringe when I hear about some poor 'fat English or Aussie girl' who falls in love with Mohammed, the waiter in that Tunisian hotel she visited last summer, and who 'loves her' and is moving to London to be with her.
