Hotel Recommendations - Penang & Bkk ?

Can anyone recommend 4-5 star hotels ( must have air-con & be quiet, clean and comfortable) in Penang and BKK ?

1. Penang - reasonably close to Thai Embassy & interesting eateries

2. BKK - reasonable access to SVB airport & city business district

Several good 4 & 5* hotels in Batu Ferenghi, Penang.

Holiday inn, Rasa Siam............

MYR 20 to the consulate in Jalan Nunn.

Eating places in the area and a strip like Pattaya, well almost.
