If one scans over a wide array of sources that reflect real people's opinion of this 4th of July event that just ended - it is easy to see that millions upon millions of Americans enjoyed the celebration. These same people loved President Trump's speech pointing out that Trump extolled America and Americans in a very positive manner. Trump refrained from referring to himself - not using the words I or me a hundred times in the style of Obama.

There are a thousand positive articles published already by Bloggers about the success of this Trump Style 'extoll America' celebration. Silly people who show fear of the military aspects of this celebration are just plain ignorant of American history relative to such celebrations. In short the negative grousing tone of this article and others like it was predictable - just more Trump haters trying to spoil a positive celebration. Despite the Leftist media blackout there are tens of thousands of photos circulating on the Web showing the huge crowd size - even when standing in the rain a large part of the day.  The nation's overwhelming positive enthusiasm for this celebration speaks well for the Trump Voter turnout come November 2020. The July 4th. Celebration in 2021 will be massive in celebration of America and the start of Trump's Second Term. Haters can Hate but they cannot beat Trump.

I wouldn't knock anyone for avoiding a non defensive war, whether it be Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden or Donald Trump. I'd knock them for their resons for notshowing up though. Bernie Sanders as far as I know was the only " conscientious objector" to the war, which to me is certainly valid when discussing wars that are entered into arbitrarily.

To be honest, as I am as coward as Trump, I would probably have tried to avoid it. Maybe not fraudulently like Trump did.

I agree with most of what you say, but if you happen to see any of the old Trump interviews from 20-30+ years ago, he has always been a very patriotic guy.  Having worked many armed POTUS and VPOTUS details along side the Secret Service, there is definitely a political mite to AF1...  On Soros, you are so spot on!

Patriotic? Well nobody in the modern history of Trump family has served in the military even his grandfather was accused of draft dodging In Austria. Donald had his chance, “bone spurs”. Greatest golfer in Presidential History is actually just another chickenhawk. Patriotic only as an image in
