hi everyone!

I arrived here with a tourist visa last October 24 so tha gives me 60 days.I did not apply for an extension instead i went to cambodia to do a visa run.Tha gives me abothe 30 days until Jan 21, 2007. I went to the Philippines because my firend invited me for a 3 weeks vacation. I went there Jan. 14 and went back to Thailand Feb.10 which gives me until March 12 to stay. March 11, I went for another visa run to Cambodia and they stamp my passport until April 9.I inquire about in one law office and forwarded my passport to them so they can count they say I can still do one more visa run to Cambodia. Is this correct?I thought when i went back to Thailand from the Philippines that is already my second stamp?and when I went in Cambodia last March they marked may passport with a dark green pen with n-30 i guessed not so sure about it.

Please advise if i can do a visa run again or i need to go to Laos for a visa.Hopefully non-b

thanks in advance

I don't think you can. From what you've posted, it looks like by April 9 you'll have used up about 82 days of visa exemption. That would entitle you to 8 days on your next run. You'll probably need to get a visa somewhere, tourist or otherwise.

Just checking my math:

First visa exemption roughly Dec 22 - Jan 14 = 23 days

Second visa exemption Feb 10 - March 11 = 29 days

Third visa exemption March 11 - April 9 = 30 days

Total 82 days.

Again, don't both the date of arrival and departure count as whole days?

Third visa exemption March 11 - April 9 = 30 days

Total 84 days.

He can do another visa run anytime between April 9 and June 20, but he'll only be admitted for 6 days. On June 20, if the 180-day rule is applied correctly, the first VE days from the Dec 22 entry will start coming off the books.

In any event, he'll have to get sorted by April 11 at the latest (assuming one day to apply for and the next day to collect his visa) since Thai Embassies will closed for Songkran on Friday, 13 April and Monday, 16 April 2007.

Thanks for the reply.I am going to Laos on April 8 to get a tourist visa via Jack Golf so I can stay here for another 3 months.I found a work already and while they are preparing for my requirements which I think will not be ready by next week so I need to get a tourist visa and possible have it change to Non-b in the immigration. This law office is not that realible after all.I forwarded a copy of my passport with all the pages with stamps and have them count it and they say i can do another border run and stay for another 30 days. Good thing I booked a tript to Laos or I might end up overstaying.

Thanks guys

Ref your example. Remains to be seen if March 11 will be double counted. My guess is it will.

If I read the rules correctly, and they are enforced correctly, he will receive, without Visa:

6 days if next enters on or before 15 June, total 90 days in 6 months);

A full 30 days if next enters on or after 16 June: 6 days takes you up to 21 June after which he enters a new 6 month rolling period.

Time will tell.

Edited for Typo so I make some sense
