Hey all...

Trying to figure some stuff out. I am planning on getting married here in Thailand in early July and this 90 in 180 stuff is throwing me for a loop. In the past I have never had a problem staying in Thailand but I have been out for some time and now things seem to have changed and I just can't figure out what to do.

Here's the situation...

I'm a 28 YO male from the US.

My Thai Fiance holds a 10 year US tourist visa.

we plan to get legally married in the states but want to have a ceremony here in the islands.

the date set for the ceremony is July 7 and I just want to stay here until then. Then fly to the states before the end of July.

I was in Thailand 19FEB through 03MARCH

I re-entered 28MARCH

It looks like I can get a NON-IMIGRANT visa from the consolate in LA but can I do something here? I don't really have the cash to be flying around the world. Is it possible to express mail my passport to LA?

Any Info will help.

Thanks...

yes you can send your passport .... Denver usually has a shorter turn-around time, you may wish to contact them.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek sorry I missed where you said you were in Thailand ... sorry no! You will be travelling!

Read up on the visa options and where close by you want to see!

I flew to Perth Australia for my new non-imm visa ...

<<edit ----- to re-iterate .. you CAN NOT legally send your passport out of thecountry for a visa>>

First congrats.

Second. If you only need to be here a couple months why not just go get a toursit visa in a country around here. You would only have to go twice and it would be cheaper than flying home.

Malaysia, Singapore, or Laos would be the cheapest places.

If you have to leave in late april, then you would get 2 months, so late june then leave again and then spend up to 2 more months then you are going to the US anyway right?
