Hi

my husband and I will be entering Bangkok twice, once for just 3 days and then again 2 weeks later for 6 weeks. I have been advised to get a 30 day visa each time, and on our 2nd visit extend the visa in Hua Hin, where we are staying. Can someone tell me if the visa office still in Bluport and are we able to do that there?

Thanks for any advice.

I am not sure of the location of the immigration office for Hua Hin, but your plans are fine. Just for clarity if inquiring further, what you receive when you enter Thailand is not a "tourist visa" but a 30-day visa exemption (or visa exempt entry). This can be extended for a further 30 days at the local immigration office serving the area where you are staying on payment of 1,900 baht. The process is easy, but there may be some waiting around at busy offices.

You can apply for a 30 day extension of your 30 day visa exempt entry at the Bluport immigration office Hua Hin.
