Say that you suddenly received some reliable information that, for reasons unknown, you had exactly one year left to live. At the same time, you received some news that you had come into a large sum of money. Or perhaps you already had a lot of money and did not need any more. The point was that you now had no major financial limitations. You were also in good health, and you knew that your health would remain strong for the duration of that one year.

What five or ten things might you try to achieve in that final year of your life, knowing that you had no financial or physical limitations? Would you try to go visit a lot of different places? Is there a list of adventurous things that you would like to achieve that you have not gotten to yet? Or have you pretty much done everything you wanted to do already? Or would you simply go somewhere quiet and relaxing and/or just stay in one place for the duration?

I'm content as i am so probably a case of firming up where the money goes after death

I'd certainly avoid doing anything adventurous that might turn that year into six months!!

Sad in many respects, but there is nothing that screams....YES.....this is what I want to do.....probably spend more time than I do now, with all my kids and grandkids.......whilst dedicating some extra time and money to soi 6?

Visiting Europe with any of my children that wanted to go for 2 months. Fishing for a Marlin in Cairns. Hunting in Canada, Africa, New Zealand. Iowa, Kansas, Illinois, Colorado, Mexico and Nebraska. Parachuting. Spending time with friends not seen in awhile. Visit Jerusalem. Fishing Canada.

Doesn't exactly sound like a soft landing when you hit the ground. Seems like it could end up being the most stressful 45 seconds of your life.

Visiting different cultures, seeing history, eating foods and drinking wines and beers, catching and releasing fish, and yes, shooting some trophies and eating their meat. Most of it is traveling and seeing things I haven't before. Hunting doesn't always mean killing.

Since I can fly First Class, or even chartered jet, then travel non stop for the year. Check out all the landscapes, natural wonders & critters I haven't seen yet. Aside from that, nothing else would interest me.

Nothing really man made would really interest me, or arts & cultural things.

Now, there's nothing I'd spend the money on, or the time and discomfort of flying, even business class on, worth seeing. Spending hours at or in airports turns me off from traveling. Didn't like that when I did travel almost exclusively in First Class all the time.

I'm travelled out. Working for 4 different airlines will do that to you 🙄
