I need to visit Thailand only for 5 minutes. How?

Recommended Posts

....to get a new kasikorn card. This would take 5 minutes. I don't want to stay in Thailand.

I'm in Cambodia. Is there a way to obtain a new kasikorn card without hassle of entering Thailand with visa exemp? Maybe somehow at the borders they allow to wander semi-freely, without going through the immigration, as long as you enter and leave within a short period of time? I'd enter, get my new card at a bank and leave. I want all to be legal.

Would your home country allow someone to wander into your country and completely bypass immigration procedures because they said they wanted to go to the bank?

It doesn't matter - there're gazillion of things that differ in Thailand and other countries.

There would only be a remote possibility of this being achievable within such a short space of time if there were a Kasikorn branch slap bang next to a Cambodian border post on the Thai side. As far as I am aware this isn't the case at any such border post.

So what's the big deal about getting your passport stamped for 30 days at the Cambodian/Thai border in your case, then?

Incorrect. I got a new card in the airport in 5 minutes.

It will take longer than 5 minutes so might as well make a day/night of it.

How does that matter? 5 or 10 or 15? So what? Whatever!

If you have changed passport since you opened the account be sure to take the old passport with you  !!

First of all, I'm not asking about that. Secondly, that's wrong - I got a new card with a new passport, without the old one.

I don't think so.

Thailand is no different. You need the correct visa to enter, or you can enter as visa exempt if this category applies to you.

Before you do this, find out if your bank card can be issued by any branch of your bank. Some banks require you to obtain a new card from the branch where you first opened your account.

and to get new card MUST SHOW BANK BOOK AND PASSPORT....

I got a new card in May....from Kassikorn....THEY charged me 400 baht, just for some plastic.

Last week I got a new Bangkok Visa card NO CHARGE !!!!

Well that isn't the same as a land border crossing is it!

Did you use a bank on the international side? Because the OP also doesn't want to clear immigration.
